haha doesn't matter. his replacement will be funded by the gun lobby.

Anyway to hold firearms in self defence is a constitutional right. To some americans, it is as fundamental as the concept of America.

Most of the victims are Hispanic. Honestly, i doubt most republican voters really care too much on this topic outside of being PC.

there was another school shooting several years ago where the security officer ran out of the building when the shooting started.

I think he/she faced charges or something.

US news reporting local city/county police on scene waited far too long before taking action like almost 60 mins sighting need for more re-enforcements,  body armor equipment and need heavier fire arms etc

They were lucky there was border patrol agents under their customs agency some of which are from BORTAC  ( Elite tactical  SWAT like team trained to take down high risk migrants/criminals  USA from Mexico border) nearby then the border patrol agents confronted and shot dead the criminal .

The reason why the criminal got killed was because this  town was  relatively close enough to US -mexico border that there were  border agents including BORTAC personal close enough to respond.

Can you imagine if their tactical agents from Border patrol did not respond since this is not their normal jurisdiction which normally falls under the local police, how much longer would the local police wait.😰
