Prime has $5 off for $80 spent on CDC voucher. Not much compared to Giant or fairprice.

But the prices there are much cheaper, esp those on offer. So it may work out the same, but I only spend $20. 😁

They also have Senior citizen 4% discount on Tuesday and Thursday. That's on top of other discounts.

I find prime things rather ex though, the one near my place always nobody.

Prime has their own fish farm in SG. Really farm -> supermarket.
So maybe a good place to buy fish if you don't go fishmonger or those bigger SS/NTUC

I just spread my $ between SS, Redmart and NTUC. Don't really stay near Prime or Ang Mo etc.

Saw a lot of old folks queuing outside Community Centre today, asking to print the CDC vouchers.
Today is only the first day issued. They are queuing like afraid it will run out.

To be honest i dont like the idea of vouchers or handouts becos it breeds a certain unbecoming kind of mindset.
One of reliance. One of expectations to receive.
Rather than one of getting there by oneself.

From a financial standpoint, it benefits me as i am no longer a tax payer from 2026 onwards.
So its payback time to my advantage.

I would still rather GST remain at 7% and with exemptions on certain essentials instead of 9% + the vouchers.
But we all know, there is no turning back.  Once f**ked, virginity loss, cannot get back…..

Good luck Singapore Good luck.
