Watwheels Supersonic January 5, 2024 Share January 5, 2024 Poor thing. Boomers I mean elderly have to queue for the vouchers. Several elderly people were spotted braving the rain to collect their CDC vouchers physically from Bukit Panjang CC. Some ppl are very bad. No wonder ppl go queue for the vouchers. Spreading false information. Lala81 Hypersonic January 5, 2024 Share January 5, 2024 The move to electronic means a lot of elderly have difficulty coping. Part of the reason to use e-vouchers is to make sure they get more used to digital services.

Isn't purpose of CDC voucher was to help the local F&b, retails during COVID periods? CDC voucher outlive its purpose imo. Cash would be better for to help the elderly. Depending on how the elderly check their bank account. If they still need to go to atm/bank to update their passbook it will still be a hassle. Give out cash ppl might not feel the impact of the help mah. Haha

The idea for cdc is to spend on necessities. Giving cash means one could spend on other things or give to tkb. I may be wrong but printing more money could lead to inflation but I guess many merchants are jacking prices up when they know people can use cdc. ↡ Advertisement
