Watwheels Supersonic September 28, 2023 Author Share September 28, 2023 (edited) 5years ago water price hike was 30%, now 18%(on top of 30%), plus the 2% increase in gst(on top of all the price hikes) it is like more than 50% hike(water alone) in the span of about 5++ years. That's staggering. Likely will impact food and beverage prices again when we eat out. Looks like hawker food no $6-$8, no talk. Most of the mooncakes are manufactured by a handful of companies, likely in Malaysia. Those restaurants/hotels just pack and box them and sell to enthusiasts at ridiculous prices. Tradition is no more than just a word that boost commercialism to make more money out of consumers 🙄 Expand I only mainly eat those bake ones from those traditional bakery. Cheaper and gooder. Don't like those fancy snowskins except for durian. Those exotic flavours likely use artificial flavouring.
