I have no demands for them. They can raise prices or shrink portion. Or they can do their budget meals.  Whatever that rocks their boat. I have absolutely zero expectations from them.

I simply just go across the causeway for the most satisfying local meals  😄

Is not demand from customer. Is demand from operator.

From what is written, seems like hawkers these days are no longer like business owners, more like employees of the centre operator. Worse is they force them to sell things at loss.

Yeap, I know it was from the operator.....

The hawkers are complaining that the operators are now putting in restraints.  But what about those previous times when they were profiteering by increasing prices at every single opportunity from food to take-away containers?

So I gave up.  Both parties are no saints and I have zero expectations on both.

I wonder if he is just participating in another Korean fake shows.  Many pretending to be rich to con people into their madoff's ponzi scheme.

If really rich, top 1%, why need to participate in this type of show?

https://mustsharenews.com/dumpling-costs-rise-dragon-boat/

According to a report by 8world News, the owner of Hoo Kee Bak Chang in Bukit Merah said they recently raised prices of dumplings by S$2 — a similar increase to last year’s Dragon Boat Festival.

He said that the original flavour costs S$6 from S$4, while the mixed flavour dumplings now cost S$8 from S$6.

Mr Zhou, the owner, noted that the main reasons for the increased cost were ingredients costs and labour increases during the Dragon Boat Festival.

Despite this, he added that many older customers understood the reasons for the price increase.
