It's not solving the problems at all If you read my first write up, its not just about ranting. Its about awareness and wanting to share experience of dealing with a particular entity such as Wearnes. AD's always get away with atrocities because there's no sharing and awareness of the consumer's negative experiences. We as the end users are empowered to help each other. Read the threads and some of the users here are sharing thier negative experiences too. This was the main motive. As for bringing this up to the GM, they are blocking me. I have already written to several high profile management within VCC and Volvo SG. No replies yet. The last i spoke to was a Senior Manager who is the head of the SE who is attending to my case. He completely dodged by points and could not answer what i asked him. And kept saying "his point of view" to me. I only told him, i did not use "his bank balance" to pay for the car, so address the negative experience i faced and not give personal opinions. They are not trained to handle such issues, its eminent some of them was hired in a rush to fill up the vacancies when the car sales rocketed. Its clear. So i am slowly pursuing this. Not going to let this go untill someone senior attends to this. Lets see where does this go. Sie Sie! ↡ Advertisement

If your service advisor is ignoring you, go up to the service executive or service manager. If still cannot, demand to see their aftersales GM. Rear auto brake kicking in abruptly and loose steering at 100km/h both doesn't sound normal to me. I've owned a Volvo before and I know Wearnes aftersales, what they are good at and what they are bad at. Sometimes you need to bang the table a bit harder 😁 I have spoken to the senior manager incharge of the SE. No hope because he is also another dodger. I think they know there are some who bang table, so now all change to Rotan table. Bang also bo noise leh. 🙂

Noise from engine bay, loose steering- Book an appointment through Volvo Service online like you would for any servicing. Highlight it as a troubleshooting session rather than a servicing appointment. I realize that any issue with AD during warranty issue usually takes a longer time to resolve, put the car there for a day. It is unlikely you will get a replacement car and your SA is trying to pull a fast one on you. 2. Issue with the autostop stopping during reversing - https://www.swedespeed.com/threads/auto-stop-start-for-shifting-to-reverse.645144/ Saw this link, it is probably one way to get around it. I have stopped using the autostop feature as it drains the auxiliary battery which needs to be replaced earlier than anticipated. 3. Unable to retrieve car cam video - get the user Volvo DVR manual from the SA and troubleshoot from there. 4. Try going to someone else other than your SA, bring it up during your appointment at Volvo or google it. Someone else might have posted the answer out there. Hey @Tommisan THanks for the constructive comments. Really appreciate it. Useful info too. Just to address some of your comments. 1. Agree with you. But could have been honest about it instead of dragging my case for a month. Eventually while i left the car for a week while i was away for work, thier replies is the usual run of the mill reasons which some of the other experienced users here stated. 2. Will look at the link and see. Perhaps will not use it like my previous RR Evoque as you say. Its crap to pay so much for a car with so many features that are not practical. 3. I have done this and they are arranging for me to bring the car back to Volvo to meet the Cam supplier to trouble shoot. 4. Might bring the car to someone else, trusted party, to check and get thier opinion, someone who knows the particular brand. Many thanks for taking time to reply. Cheers.

We are here to share information. A week seems quite long to troubleshoot since the issues that you have faced do not seem to warrant such a long time. The autostop feature is supposed to provide some fuel saving and cuts emission, however with AC running throughout coupled with city driving, the fuel saving if there is, will be very marginal. Hopefully Wearnes will be able to resolve the cam issue for you. I have visited Motor Edgevantage a couple of times, they seem professional and worked mainly out Conti brands including Volvo, so they should be able to help.
serenade 6th Gear April 22, 2022 Share April 22, 2022 On car-cam video retrieval. Unless your SD card is very very big, space runs out very quickly and the cam will override the existing files. Especially if record in HD. My cam can store only 1 hour on the card when both channels are recording in HD. If you need the files for legal reasons, you have to download to phone within the hour. Either this or remove the SD card physically. Remove card physically if you are involved in an accident as the insurance and/or police will want the file. If it is worth the cost and effort to retrieve from the SD card, then you have to look for a computer forensics expert to dig out the over-written files on the physical SD card. They still could be there physically on the card although logically already written over.

Once i go home, when i tried to play back, it failed. Latest development, Volvo connected me to their supplier who met me and tried everything. But that particular file can't play. He took back copies of the file with him to see what can be done. This was about two weeks ago. Once again, no one follows up or updates. I have to keep chasing. As is said, the after service standard of this dealer is atrocious. Full of excuses. "WHEN THE BUYING STOPS, THE VICTIMIZATION STOPS".
