How long do you normally keep your car for?

@CarGuy88 I was told it was about to be loaded on the ship end of last month. I think they will probably be able to get it on the road before the TCOE expires haha.

4-5 yrs;

6-9 yrs;

10 years till scrap; or

Renew COE until engine is totally dead?

my wish is to change car every year. but I plan for the worst case to change car in every 10 years, but in actual case is renewal COE and drive on. 😅

@Turboflat4 don't mind me asking, what makes you get something like a Toyota Wish in the midst of supercar ownership? 

Usually people who are in the league of owning a F430 and AMG GT would get an Alphard minimally if they wanted a people carrier?

I'm super impressed at your list nonetheless!

Ok lah, longer answer, the wife was Initially ok with the Wish (Vios and Odyssey also mainly for her), but quickly grew irritated with the lack of go. And found it damn lacking compared to the Odyssey (ironically Honda was used and bought near COE expiry while Wish was brand spanking new from Borneo Motors).

So the Wish was a bit of a mistake. But I didn't suffer too much. I got lucky. Got a sizeable COE rebate (a few thousands) and still didn't lose on the trade-in (for the M140i). Our original plans to do regular trips to MY in an MPV as an extended family didn't work out due to medical issues, so going back to a superhatch was a good decision. Wife's happy with that, and so am I.

I'm done with the supercars for now, too busy at work. Another irony is that it was a promotion at work that triggered me to sell off McLaren since I wouldn't have the time or energy to look after a temperamental beast. I'm much happier now with my two hatches, the manual in the Renault engages me properly when I drive. Good decision in retrospect, with covid-19, no track days etc.

Hmmm, your list is rather eclectic, can tell you're definitely no badge-ho. I suspect you're a hardcore driving enthusiast who for sure bothers to heel and toe, highly likely switches off auto-blipping, maybe even double-clutches a synchro gearbox unnecessarily...

Mitsubishi Lancer 1.4GL - 10 years (Limpeh one)

Honda Civic 1.5 -10 years

Ford Laser 1.6 -9 years

Ford Mondeo 2L- 10 years for wife , me drive Van like @Mustank but not King Kong type    

Lexus ES -8 years and counting whilst wife drives A200   

Ok got a few other cars in between for fun (fren fren type)   also  in the old dayz like Mazda RX (now cannot ..... too much paper work/ compliance BS)
