I installed after I realized that there was an e-wallet which I thought could be linked to the card itself... Anyway I checked the app as you directed and yes the RFID status is Active. I don't have a card registered in the app... would an expired card do? Does this mean that if I don't top up my card, as long as I have money in the e-wallet that will do? And I must still tap the card right? The VEP RFID tag won't help with the payment of the toll fee right? Thanks! @teomingernAs long as your RFID is in your eWallet, you are safe. U need to tap the card only if the tol does not have RFID lane. and I'm not sure does msia custom RFID gantry already working or not, if not you still need the card. Better to top up because not all highway concession in MY can deduct your TnG card from your eWallet.

What you mean is as long as I use the card to tap physically, then don't need to top up money in the card directly is it? It will debit from my e-wallet directly? But not all toll booths got RFID for this to work right? This seems to be what Bluepica is saying... did I understand you correctly?

Sorry ah... got muddled again... if there is no RFID gantry, means must deduct toll fee directly from the card? Is that correct? So how do I know if the toll booth got RFID gantry or not? If the toll booth got RFID gantry but I still tap the card at the card reader, would there be a double deduction? I never used before so I very blur... The VEP RFID can be used at NSHW RFID lanes too? i always thought the VEP tag (issued by JPJ) was different from their RFID (issued by TnG) in functionality. all in theory for now 😄😄

Then they found later there was double deduction. there is big signboard at the toll lanes for RFID/PayDirect/SmartTag). Just slow down when approaching the toll gate. The lane types might also be painted on the floor but might be hard to see if heavy traffic or at night.

Yes I am aware of it... so far I only use North South Highway which under Plus right? The other Highway is the Linka Dua which connects from the 2nd Link. And the last one is the Desaru Highway... I think the Plus & Linka Dua Highways can use RFID right? I usually take the bypass highway at Exit 214 to bypass KL city to go to Ipoh and beyond, does that count as a separate highway from the North South Highway? Cos I don't remember whether must tap card or not or got toll booth or not... too long ago already...

Last year they said all toll going to have RFID lane ma, now should be better lo... but u know la, say one thing, do also another..... but I have info that even my frequent exit Simpang Pulai small little tol plaza already have RFID lane, so those bigger tol plaza will be better off 🙂 ↡ Advertisement
