Actually, can just work out special work permit for them. Restrict them to work in certain areas. Pay taxes. Regulate them instead of chasing them underground, just like Geylang that no one likes to talk about.

The alternative is for police to keep doing special operations, wasting lots of resources and manpower, cat and mouse game that keeps repeating, which benefits no one.

Make it legal, everyone is happy.

Looks like Ukraine has received new ammunition, probably the arty shells they needed so much.

You are so kind and full of compassion!

Poor things, thousands and thousands of their men are dead or injured, both countries running out of men for them to marry.

Seems putin spared Trudeau's life there 🤣

That guy is glowing with radiation.

Anyway it's too public to try anything.

When there are election campaigns, ongoing conflicts are a low hanging fruit for any candidate seeking election, just like the ending a conflict through victory is an achievement for an incumbent seeking re-election, such as finally hunting down Osama.

And it will always be a problem/feature when politicians need to address their opponents’ shortcomings to win votes.

If there’s no free elections then there’s no such problem… 🙊

Hope Ukrainians have some clarity of mind. It’s ok to loose this round, so long as Ukraine continues to exist

Rebuild their country, avoid corruption, leapfrog into first world

Russia, if under such terrible leadership and self profiting oligarchs, in 50 years, may self destruct without lifting a finger. Putin won’t be there to stop it.

Ukraine already lost 2014 round so this would be 2 in a row. Nice try trying to make Putin agenda sound acceptable

Ukraine acted like it existed in vacuum, shows naivety in their leadership.

LKY had to defer switching recognising ROC to PRC, although he had first touch with DXP in building personal contact.

Other than sentimental and appreciation for earlier ROC effort towards Singapore's nation building, he is mainly sensitive to the sole Chinese majority sovereignty in SEA, and waited 10 years for the regional big powers to switch before being the last to do it.

If Singapore existed in vacuum, and exercised absolute individual freedom, when in realty, its not,  it may have tragic consequences for our earlier generation or even the country

I missed this but it sounds like actually the biggest sign RuZZia is in trouble:

https://www.reuters.com/business/energy/russia-bans-gasoline-exports-6-months-march-1-2024-02-27/

Quote

Russia bans gasoline exports for 6 months from March 1

MOSCOW, Feb 27 (Reuters) - Russia on Tuesday ordered a six-month ban on gasoline exports from March 1 to keep prices stable amid rising demand from consumers and farmers and to allow for maintenance of refineries in the world's second largest oil exporter.

As if domestic demand is the actual reason 🤣🤣🤣

Well,

The Pope leads 1.4 billion people, and certain wisdom has to be there.

Like many wise men, likely, they see the calculated end result before runs the full course.

You just defamed the Papacy with your Putin bs

Lol I didnt once mention the pope, Im talking about what messages you are trying to repeat and promote all in line with Putins agenda

What Im saying is your urging a little surrender to Putin which happen time after time with assurance thats all Putin wants like Georgia, Moldova, Ukraine... when in fact it just gives him time to regroup and launch another attack later and he never stops being hungry

Ofcos Putin has exhausted all his best equipment and soldiers he now wants a break without appearing to give up so he needs Ukraine to sue for peace first except they wont but we get trolls like you pushing this line for him and find any message to twist in his favor

So what is your solution?

Asked you point blank, and you said destroy Russia's economy.

When I gave you GDP figures from IMF, you said its forged, while you have no figures

Other than being pro-ukraine fan by the sidelines, why do you do some real work, by helping out with donations, assistance etc.

Be like a good swiftie, pay 1k for tickets to put some skin in the game.

SG did it, and the population paid higher fuel and oil prices, and we supported nonetheless, because our existence is at stake should we be in a similar situation.

Neither shall we court the situation in the first place.

Sharing LKY's action on PRC and ROC shows the careful consideration for all neighbour's interest, and find one that ultimately benefits us, After all chess moves have been made, even before its made.

Having enlightened thinking does not make one pro-russian.

There is no solution except Putin stop being a warmonger because he is a warmonger with nukes. Democracy is the main way to stop such tyrants from getting power in the first place, unfortunately RuZzia is dictatorship. Thus RuZzian economy tanking might be the only way to persuade this crazy guy of that change, nothing else seems to work

Main point is: Surrendering sure wont convince Putin to stop, just like it didnt work in 2014 or in Georgia or in Moldova

It's really up to the west on how committed they are. Ukraine can't do it by themselves. The fall of Avdiivka shows what  can happened when USA stopped the aid.

EU has to wake up this is after all a EU issue. USA can just careless if there's a change in administration.

Putin can't stop, it's his own survival too to not lose.
