He is mixing it up with 杀一警百 which is ? A derivative of the above. Meanings interchangeable. My Chinese not the deepest.

It's like that. If they live their life scared of how people will look at them and judge them, then they can't proceed to make bold entrepreneurship decisions.

USA lost the battle of public opinion in vietnam when news media were free to publish photos, instead of US victories, of body bags and coffins lined up at air force base stateside, scores of wounded GIs, deplorable conditions, war crimes and friendly fire incidents.

Ukraine managed their media exposure well, but does not change reality. The russians have tons of manpower and resource regardless old or not, to pour into the fight. They only know WW2 tactics but is good enough.

Personally i think elon's third option is the most acceptable, i.e. for ukraine to proclaim neutrality. Or second best option, to cede only crimea - which they have lost since 2014 anyway. If it can stop the war. The russians have been bloodied and will not be coming back anytime soon. It will take years and years to fix their broken system, and they have to fix their broken system first before they have any hope of winning a war.

Currently, Ukraine has the momentum. Why would it stop?
If Ukraine cede Crimea, does it stop Putin Greed?

Russian elite forces were wiped out at the start of the war.

Now the Russian soldiers left have not much fighting experience.

The 300,000 back up force is unfit for combat.

Russian has lost 1,200 tanks and maybe can send another 200-300 pulled out of cold store tanks.

Don't even know if the can start or not and fire their guns don't know will banana split or not.

Who is going to defend the last few bits still under Russian control?
