I believe NATO EU US have broadly similar or overlapping interest to achieve.

ALL is based on an independent,  sovereign and viable Ukraine.

The weapons they need to provide is IMO dependent on maintaining The red lines they have :

1) Avoid a full blown refugee crisis at ALL cost,  if Ukraine falls,  who knows..  easily 10 million refugees? The security,  financial,  political,  social cost 🤯🤯🤯.. can EU survive the stress?

2) Avoid a pumped up Russian army on the border of eastern NATO. The military cost of once again deploying HUGE standing armies in constant readiness will make current state of war feel like bargain price.

3) The US wants to Avoid giving Russia a food and energy hold on the world even bigger than it has now.

I'd say short of nukes, they'll be willing to give just about anything to achieve those aims. Cos the price of failure is frankly unimaginable to EU NATO US.

Weapons wise we've seen it progressively go from various infantry anti tank weapons,  to various armed and suicide drones,  IFVs , T72 tanks, heavy 155mm arty, harpoon missiles, now MLRS.

Latest is Taiwan's M109 self propelled howitzers purchased from the US are reportedly delayed ... guessing it's going Ukraine too.

I think as long as Ukraine shows willingness,  the supplies are negotiable.

It is much much cheaper to let Ukrainians do the fight by giving then unlimited supplies of weapons and ammo than to do it themselves. For every month Russia fights in Ukraine it will probably take it 1 year to recover.

They should've focused on Ukraine instead of Afghanistan... at least Ukrainian women and men show desire to fight for their future.

there are only 4 direction to run for, front , back, left and right, so the probability of getting strike is 25%, much higher chance than striking 4D first prize😀

US going to discuss providing HIMARS rocket systems next week. It is likely they have to provide as Ukraine don't seem to have enough firepower at the moment to push Russia back in Luhansk. If US don't supply soon, Ukraine may have to do strategic retreat and let Russia take 100% Luhansk.

US has agreed to provide long range MLRS, provided Ukraine agree not to hit deep inside Russia.

So yeah, go ahead and hit those orcs hanging the border and they got hysterical too. [laugh]

https://www.pravda.com.ua/eng/news/2022/05/29/7349261/

Officials in Washington have held a series of closed-door meetings with Ukrainian officials to reaffirm their commitment not to strike deep into Russia if the United States agrees to provide such systems.

Guilty conscience?

And i think they should. Russia needs a taste of its own medicine.
Once the weapons are there, Ukraine can issue a warning or a call for Russia to piss off, otherwise rockets will be launched into Russia.

offence is the best defence under current circumstances.

Use on Russia soil wait usa don’t send them more weapons

It's a popular view that afghans have no desire to fight for future, but really you think the taleban can win and return so easily if it were not for some level of support among the people? Afghans are fierce fighters if they have the cause to defend, but there was probably a majority that saw the taleban could at least bring some stability to the country and their future, and the US-propped corrupt afghan govt structure was far worse and not worth defending. The same happened in vietnam, same US model that collapsed.

We find it strange that people would support fundamentalists (taleban) or authoritarian (vietnam) regimes to take over, but they have had it worse, so they probably assess that loss of some freedoms is better than what they have at present.

yeap, agree.

Corruption is the no. 1 problem. US will probably no longer support regimes, that don't go after corruption seriously. It's like a black hole that constantly sucked at your resources. It can't go on forever.

Just like medieval times, the aggressor came to rob, rape, pillage and steal. they have no shame, whatsoever.
