COE confirm drop with the war and hyper inflation to come.  Grab if you can afford otherwise better save for stormy months ahead.

"If you're looking to get your hands on an electric car yourself, this section will interest you: Starting from May 2022's first bidding exercise onwards, the maximum power output threshold for cars to be considered under the Cat A COE category will be raised from the current 130bhp up to 147bhp."

more ev in cat a then cat a premium will increase faster

Only government earns when Cat A and B both increase faster. I don't think EV will be much cheaper even when changed into Cat A.

Seeking advice from forum vets. Does it make sense to trade in my car for a new ride now(where my trade in price will be higher during this high COE period), or is it better to wait for a lower COE price (altho my trade in price will be lower)? Thanks in advance!

Yes

:D

No need to thank me.

I don't think you know the meaning of hyper inflation.

Hyper inflation is when the price of things goes high sky high like cars and COE!

When we have deflation is when the price of everything goes down including cars and COE!

The same person that said used car dealers are liars, cheats and crooks for saying COE will only go up!

Only in MCF people got crystal balls

to know which month COE will fall!

All my used car dealer friend don't have a clue!

:D

They keep telling me they don't have crystal balls and they also want to know!

We should ask the poseur in MCF that claimed

he got the $2 and $101 COE!

:D

He not only can tell the future he is also a magician.

He has since disappeared!

Turbocharged

Should be lower this round for the following reasons:

1. Technical adjustment (jump a lot last round)

2. Uncertainty due to ongoing war between Russia and Ukraine

3. Oil price shooting through the roof

4. Stock market seems to be entering bear mode

5. Some Cat B buyers might push back their purchase waiting for their car to become cat A
