Forest city has just showed you how they flip flop. Bintan we also experience Liao. Better reclaim or dig/build our own safer.

Forest City did not flip flop.  Rather it is mainly for PRC.

PRC had told me that buy 1 apartment in Beijing get 1 Forest City for free.

When PBOC clamped down on onshore borrowing for offshore investment, all this money just disappeared.

There is a limit on how much we can reclaim.  It might affect our relationship with Indonesia.

FACT CHECK - China did not prevent its citizen from purchasing foreign properties. Rather it closed a loophole in 2017 to slow down capital outflows when Chinese individuals purchase oversea properties for investment rather than for staying.  The real Flip Flop came after M'sian 2018 GE when Dr M return as new PM...Within months he decided to kill of Forest City by banning foreigners from owning properties in that project.  Sounds familiar right ? Remember when SGren got CLOB-ed back in 1998 ? 😜

ST (Sep 2018) Malaysia bars foreigners from Johor's US$100b Forest City project that drew Chinese buyers

No lah forest city didn't flip flop like what someone says. It was TDM lah. 😆

TDM ?  Totally Deranged Madman ? 😜

Sad for a man who has govern a country for so long. Whether he did a good or bad job, it is for Malaysian to decide. Now he is like a drowning man, maybe worry of his son.

LOL

You are the only few who talk to him👍🏻
2017
“The project was targeted at upper-middle-class Chinese citizens looking to park wealth abroad, offering relatively affordable seafront properties compared to expensive coastal city like Shanghai.[4][13] However, initial strong sales from mainland China collapsed after Chinese leader Xi Jinping implemented currency controls, including a $50,000 annual cap on how much buyers could spend outside the country.[13][18]”

Well, from my perceptive on this side of the Causeway, I can only tell our fellow M'sian MCFer that their country had been thoroughly F*CK by that same old fox for nearly 40 years...😆

I know coz within a month after returning to power, his pet Topic returns also... 😆

As non Malaysian, can only observe. They voted him and has to accept whatever he does. Now he is out and about to go, Singapore is better lah.

Under hdb. Build flats so close to the airport?
In any case build so many MRT lines, reclaim so much land. The only clear objective I see is still 10M.

If under HDB, high chance should have residential. They wanted to increase the population so much until that area so ulu and near to airport also plan to build HDB flats?

Open up more industrial land for marine industry?

If you look at map,  there was talk of linking jurong island to mainland via gul road. Meaning all tbe benoi sector marine will eventual need to move. Very long term.. but possible 🤔

Looks like possible bridge to tekong too. 1.3km just nice for a bridge. maybe one that can open up to allow high ships to pass.

Just reclaim the sea between Tekong and mainland, leaving a small gap to harness the tidal power to generate electricity.....huat ah!
