Some years ago I sold off wife's car and insisted on cash only.  Dealer apologised he when he went to the bank, the branch had run out of large notes.  So fir about an hour before I deposited the money, I was walking around with $56k in $50 notes in a backpack

I also share share my story...

Agreed on price for car body over phone...drove to whom I thot was export dealer...ended it's a chopshop scrapyard gonna chop up my car...pity the nice condition low mileage car but WTH...getting the money more important than getting emotional...

Waited nearly an hour to complete the transaction as the scrapyard was actually acting as agent for one fly by night used car broker...fund to cum from him instead of the scrapyard dealer...i suspected the broker regretted on the price as the dealer mentioned he had never taken one in at that kind of price before...

Then was told fund oredi been transferred after an hour but my bank record showed nothing...that guy said don't worry...his WiFi very slow...let's do ownership transfer first...by then i got tired liao, thus, went ahead with it...after another 20 mins still didn't see fund into my account...that broker then said his wife made a post day fund transfer instead of an immediate one. Scrapyard of course won't bother to help since car oredi in his name liao...only allowed me to drive the car home and deal with the broker...

Was about to initiate legal proceedings the next day before the broker called and said he suffered a cancellation charge by bank on the fund transfer and did an immediate one over the counter... I hack care about his ordeal and asked him to cum pick up the car himself...he said he couldn't becos he's stuck at car workshop...i was eager to meet this dude and learn about his incompetence, thus, I relented and drove down to where what used to be my regular tyre shop near my place...he was busy dekitting a few cars...😂

And the moral of the story is? 😁

Dealer and private owner/buyer at times same same.. does not mean private buyer will not chum pattern.. and in the Used car industry alot of karkia and runner.. they pretend to be private buyer/seller etc..

I sold mine to a dealer. (Full cash)Who came to my place to drive it away.
 

And I full cash to the next owner. Went to his place and drove away 😃
