Between Goodyear Efficientgrip n Yokohama AE50, how different the drive feel?

Looking for 205/50R16 tyre. 

Kumho PS31 is the cheapest, but heard that it gets really noisy. 

Found that efficientgrip n AE50 to be similar priced @ $115.

What are the drive characteristics of both, for a Allion A15?

OK for normal use. Not particularly quiet or sporty.

I had the Yokohama BluEarth-A AE50 on my Nissan Latio last time and they are silent, supple, gave good ride with reasonable handling. The former two tyres never tried.

There should be efficient grip2. My bro has gone thru one set. He claims is better than Michelin primacy4. I’m using ps31, not too bad but yes can be a tad noisy. Been using re004 too, surprisingly quieter than the ps31 at the same mileage. Of course much more grippy too. 195/50/16 ps31 was $85. Re004 same size is $125.

I am on GY EG P2 R17. I like it - quiet, comfortable, better economy, good wet performance and more than enough dry grip for me.  OK price.  Got to increase pressure by 0.1 to 0.2 bar as the sidewall is very soft.

erm if really on budget can consider tourador tyres..  not i say one hor, their slogan is why pay more😆.

Jokes aside, For 115 SGD can consider pirelli cinturato p7 for comfort/quieter tyres

@shutterbox Do take note whether a tyre is "XL" (Extra Load) rated or labelled because such tyres tend to ride harsher as the sidewall is stiffer or more unyielding.

the first gen E.G i will skip. i feel not good.

I suppose AE50 and AE51 are very close. 

I am on AE51, installed recently. They are silent and grip well both in dry and wet. I am happy with them!

I checked 205/55R16.

Road Speed will be about 2kph faster than speed's indication of 100kph.

I guess thats acceptable deviation? 

 

205/55R16 has a lot more tyres to choose across different prices

Most speedometers indicate a higher speed than actual. So would be shui shui with 2 extra km/h.

Good choice. Should be very quiet and quite lasting.

I used 2 set of EGP1 for my previously car. Tyre size I used was 225/40/18.

Tyre was still relative quiet when getting old and grip and handling quite decent for a comfort bias tyre.

The EGP2 should be even better.
