Because they still need suckers who can afford that $1 increase to pass through the gantries. It's called strategy aka slow boil instead of fast boil fast gg

KPE is very bad these days, from 6.45am the jam will start all the way to almost 10am. Long Q to enter the tunnel. Tunnel itself actually quite ok, still moving.

Yesterday evening, I want to exit PIE via Sims Avenue exit.

But it was choked so bad that I had to exit Paya Lebar Road.

The choke is caused by long q from KPE

Notice entrance into KPE always super long queue, dont know why le? The entrance along Nicoll Highway into KPE, like always jam at all times? 😅

CTE also same, always heavy traffic like throughout the day? Esp the stretch between the tunnel towards jalan bahagia.

Design issue then.

Similar to aye toward city. The bottle neck at Alexandra exit. 100m before the Alexandra, LTA constructed a new entry point from a fly over linking science park. Now you have one entry point (old) from Borneo vista, one new entry point from science park flyover and existing exiting point to Alexandra exit all within 100 metres.  Goggle you will know what I meant. Haiz ....the congestion is getting bad to worse by the days. 😤

Talking about ERP. There is one right at the Alexandra exit. Never has it been switch on during evening peak. Let see how it go....

The jam along expressway always due to bottle neck at many exit point close to each other. Jam on the roads always due to poor design. Too bad useless LTA never see it.

It is designed to cause congestion so that ERP can be charged. How can you say they don't see it?

And if badly designed (ie no congestion no collection), they will send in the digging force to dig here dig there to cause jams.

No wonder they purposely design a poor design of the roads, always dig here dig there and also preset stupid traffic lights timing, aim is to cause jams.

Now i know why they implement the satellite-based ERP. 🙄

Poor design plus lousy drivers. Example like merger lane from 3-4 lanes into 2 lanes, how not to cause jams on the road le? Not only cause jams but also can cause accident.

A lot of times, anti-stupidity cannot be built into the design.

When entering the expressway, just speed up to the expressway speed limit.

A lot of times, I see a gap of 500m behind my car when entering expressway.
