1.2 engine is renault built engine while the 2.0 is japan built. 1.2 is well known for its piston ring oil leage issue and turbo pipe crack issue. all these are well known issues of the 1.2. Further more the 1.2 have lost in power issue also . you may wanna find out more on the QQ topic thread here in MCY. it has been discussed many times over at the thread. If you had not already bought i suggest dont because of the low road tax that attracts you to pay lesson and have a long term committed fixing issue.

The 1.2 FC is not exactly low also. Dun be fake by the paper reading.

On actual ground depend on how u drive and route. It will be much much higher. Easily as same as a light foot 2.0 driver

Renault engine. You’ll be lucky if it doesn’t go kaboom. 😂

They have a habit of partnering European brands like with Alfa but instead of Alfa styling and handling with Japanese reliability

it was Japanese styling with Alfa reliability.

Sorry to hear that so many problems poped up within like 4 months.

I totally understand your frustration. But maybe to help you feel a little better, my previous Citroen DS4 have almost the same frequency and number of faults that appear.

The key difference is that my cost of repairs are far costlier.. well into 4 digit each time it goes workshop. In summary, my repairs in 1 year can go up to 15K, including gearbox.

So ya, perhaps, best to stick with a Jap/Korean car, still far lesser risk in terms of $ when anything breaks.

Eh my accent. In three years, the handbrake button dropped off (safety issue as it's a manual car).  Aircon blow hot air (safety issue also cos it will fog up the inside of the car and it's dangerous in a rain storm). The audio set can't complain cos i changed it for a new set that has a 2 year warranty and yes, it broke down the month after the 2 year warranty ended.

New QQ glovebox like french cars. RHD glvoebox is equal to useless because occupied by fuse box. And also it is made in UK. Don't really have good impression of UK made cars.

Speaking of which, I went to TC last week to take a look at the new QQ and the showroom was so quiet that you could hear a pin drop.

No SE was around despite combing the showroom.

Got myself into the QQ, and switched on the reading lights.

Was unable to switch it off despite 5 attempts to do so.

A sign of "innovation that excites"? *Maybe*
