Hello,
I have some struggle with an ABS wheel speed sensor, the old sensor has been replaced plus we have replaced the ABS module (w/brakelines)
The scanner says that there is short or a no ground to the sensor.
My question is how does the ABS wheel speed sensor circiutry look like.
We have tried to clean the plugs going into the BCM and the ECU with no luck aswell.

Best regards and happy new year 😉

Just Google for images lo.

Since you have replaced the whole of the ABS system try the brake switch.

If you drive PSA group kinda cars, you have to Google for common faults. Cannot blindly go replace parts and do trial and error.

You can give OSK automotive at AMK Autopoint a try.

They are good with car diagnostics

Reading diagnostic codes is just part of the mechanics job it also requires them to have experience with cars to know that the fault codes triggered could be from other connected parts. That is why reading fault codes is not as straight forward as most ppl think. A lot of parts in the car are linked.

Thank you guys for the reply´s.

What i have tested out so far

7810 - 1-26 = 0.0 ohm
7810 - 2-5 = 0.0 ohm
7810 - 1-2 = IO

7800 - 4-GND 0.0 ohm
7800 - 1-GND 0.0 ohm

Still no signal to LH front wheel speed sensor.

Any ideas?

Best regards. (click on picture for better resolution)

Neutral Newbie

The Citroen C4 1.6 may encounter an ABS wheel speed sensor fault, triggering the ABS warning light on the dashboard. best wheel alignment near me This fault can result from sensor malfunction, wiring issues, or debris accumulation. Diagnosing and repairing the fault typically involves testing the sensor, inspecting wiring connections, and cleaning or replacing the sensor as necessary to restore ABS functionality and ensure safe driving.

Not a citroen.

9 year old Honda with 4+ months to go.

But experienced ABS + parking brake + traction control light + power steering light on while driving home from dinner.

Based on reddit accord forum, it's likely either wheel speed sensor vs ABS modulator for the first 3.

Braking feels fine to me. Of course didn't try to activate my ABS.

Basically even if I go diagnose to me, it's either scrap early or just keep going as long as can tahan.

when my wife's previous car wheel speed sensor up lorry

the car threw a lot of error messages

basically all systems that require the signal from the wheel speed sensor will quit working

ABS, cruise control, traction control, ESP, etc

car drove fine, we drove it for a week or two before I replaced the wheel speed sensor

it felt a bit scary in the beginning because no ABS

but when I think back last time, all our cars no ABS, traction control etc and we were younger and more reckless too

just drive sensibly

I’m sure some here have a scan tool. That can just check what is happening.
I can help but out of town till Saturday.

Lights disappeared shortly after driving today.

Likely some loose or corroded connection?

intermittent fault

could be many reasons, from accumulation of ferrous dust on the magnet to faulty ABS unit

but likely will come back again

if you are lucky, got slim chance it will self cured 😁

I hardly use ABS unless I e-brake when delayed reaction to red light. So no big deal.

Just drive it like a 70-80 year old driving an old car.

it is like seat belt, airbag, fire extinguisher and insurance 😁

I only started driving cars with ABS from 2012

drove cars with no ABS for more than 20 years prior to that

never lock the wheels even once, with or without ABS (deliberate ABS testing no count)
