The details of the January 2022 1st open bidding exercise for Certificates of Entitlement (COEs) are as follows:

Tender opens: Monday, 3 January 2022, 12 noon
Tender closes: Wednesday, 5 January 2022, 4.00 pm
Tender results: Wednesday, 5 January 2022 (Available on the www.onemotoring.lta.gov.sg website)

The total quota available for this tender is 1,800 for the following vehicle categories:

NON-TRANSFERABLE CATEGORIES
Category A : Cars (up to 1600cc & 97kW (130bhp)) => 543
Category B : Cars (above 1600cc or 97kW (130bhp)) => 587
Category D : Motorcycles => 431

TRANSFERABLE CATEGORIES
Category C : Goods Vehicles and Buses => 90
Category E : Open Category => 149

If more and more people can postpone or don't buy new cars,

If more and more people buy pre-owned or used cars or extend their coe instead,

and if more and more people rent cars or take taxis, grabcars or trains and public transport or cycle

then COE prices will sure drop and drop wan.

Otherwise only sg govt will continue to laugh all the way to the bank. 

Still dreaming of the record $2 coe price ....lol

Cat A will hit 61k. Other Cat price for this bid will not move much. should be pretty close to last bid. 

After this bid they should announce Feb - apr quota.
