You won't ever know the real reason behind. Could it be geographical? Specs do differ from region to region. The RSI data from Google maps may not be ready yet for South East Asia. Unless MY22 cars in Malaysia has it now and we don't, then what you've said may be true.

There isn't any 2022 xc60 video review by Malaysia users so I have no idea if RSI is available there or not.

Yeah there must be a reason for not bringing RSI to Singapore but we don't know, that's why I made this post, I was curious...

@s2s I also just own my fist Volvo and its the XC60. Its really a very nice and powerful car to drive. As for the Google build in system, I would agree that there are more rooms for improvement but I believe the limitation is due to the local regulatory + the Google setting that they do not provide such capability in SG. They have it in Volvo Taiwan for what I know and other countries, hence it is not Volvo issues but more to the Google and Volvo collaboration agreement that tied to local authority accessibility.

Not sure if it was only my xc60, or it is a common problem for all new xc60, you may not mind this at all but this bothered me since day 1 until last week, my car had creaking noise when braking, a loud Zzzz sound when speed turned from 1 to 0 and fully stopped. This noise could drive me nuts in a start-stop traffic road in peak hours. I didn't have this problem in my previous 2018 xc60. I went down to Volvo workshop a couple of times, Volvo technical and I tried other test car (new model), same loud noise. We also tried the 2018 model, no noise. In the end they replaced all metallic braking pads with softer type organic brake pads and ceased the noise.

Just Fyi in case you are bothered by the same noise.

I actually tried GLC/X3/Q5 at the time when the braking noise couldn't be identified, honestly speaking, after changed the braking pads, I had a much more pleasurable driving experience with the new xc60, better than the other SUV brands I have tried.

I saw the video on YouTube recently, about Volvo test drive in Malaysia with the same Android entertainment system, there is no Road Sign on driver display too. Sounds like a Google's problem.

@s2s All SUVs mentioned either RWD or AWD (Q5), as ex-owner 2017 XC60 T5 8-Speed before new model I really hate the handling. The FWD is very skittish and torque steer problem, plus side is T5 engine is powerful and very responsive. May the the AWD version of XC60 is better...

Hi, new owner for XC60, just enjoy sitting and driving it. Also look around during the time of purchase of B & M, the price just too high for me to get it. And for Volvo, I would said almost all the features are the same, the + ones is the safety features, the - ones is not so “high class” in the interior design but I can accept it.

I also have the issue of braking and the brake pad making loud noise. Maybe have to go back to service center and check with them.

i hope someone can create a FB or instagram Volvo or XC60 group for SG, I know the number might not be big, just some sharing of issue and solutions.

thanks all.

It’s a great car...

I did OTA upgrade to latest AAOS 2.0 today, it is Android 11 now, but still don't see Apple CarPlay... sad.

My MY22 XC60 has this light vibration when accelerating between 20-Ish km/hr (below 30km/hr). However, this is only can be felt at very slow acceleration at this range, if I accelerate slightly faster it won’t feel anything.

Checked with Volvo and they explained that this is the 48v mild hybrid kick in when changing gear at 20+km/hr. Just asking if anyone has the same experience?

Ask to test drive another same model to see if it's the same...

Someone shared a similar experience in the Volvo Polestar Club Singapore Facebook group. And there was an answer provided there IIRC. Can check it out there.

I got 2022 XC60 B5, the facelift comes with Android entertainment system, I like the new system than the old one in my previous 2018 XC60, specially on the more practical navigation system - Google Maps. But there is a big downside - no road signs info for Singapore! No speed limit sign, no speed camera sign/warning, no school zone sign... Can't believe it is totally unavailable in the latest Volvo car model as it seems to be a basic feature in a car system nowadays.

Is this Volvo or Google's problem?

The PS2 has it. not sure if it's because of google map memory or it's real time identification of the road signs.

Does yours show any speed limit sign on the speedo?

I don't feel any vibration when accelerating at low speed, but I do hear kind of vibration/noise from rear end / boot when car is started after parked for like 2 days, the noise is like something is not installed firmly, I suspected it was caused by boot cover but it's still there after I removed boot cover. The thing is, the noise would be gone by itself after drove for a short while like few mins, it wouldn't appear if the engine starts in the same day or next day, looks like a 'cold start' problem? It is difficult to reproduce the problem unless I leave the car with Volvo for some days...
