Loh KY smashed himself into quarter fianl today in All England  by beating Ng KL of HK. He will have to either face Shi YQ, Jonathan  of Indo or Lin Chun Yi from Taiwan. He has chance this round without Viktor Axelson but mind you, Lin CY is the one who deprived Viktor from progressing further,  i saw his play, Lin is quick, power packed,  precise and consistence. Shi will be another strong competitor as well.

All the best Loh KY.!

IF he wins today.

well done, Ng KL not a fast player hence couldn't keep up and missed a lot of shots that can score points.

Our gal YJM lost to an Indian gal last round. Is the Indian gal good? High ranking?

All England Open 2025: Loh Kean Yew reaches quarter-finals as seeds fall

....We now know that Loh Kean Yew will face world number one Shi Yuqi in the men's quarter-finals.....

https://www.olympics.com/en/news/all-england-open-2025-loh-kean-yew-in-second-round-action-live-updates

Loh's career head-to-head against Shi stands at 2-3. They haven't played each other since the 2023 French Open quarter-finals, and Loh won that contest in straight games.

Got chance to take down world number 1.

I see somewhere world number 2 still in the competition.

the indian girl is young and played the correct strategy, YJM probably never face her before hence not familiar whereas the opponent could have studied her style liao.

Shi improved leaps and bounds..

Loh still stuck with his silly unforced errors game..

Shi is currently world number 1 lei🤭

Hope I’m really proven wrong here tonight..

YJM is reaching a plateau....need to think and probably change her approach to training...i think need to build up her physical..she is fast on her feet, but her physical base is not as strong as the top 20 players...

just my 0.02 cents

Loh's focus is ding dong....see him play u will get heart attack....inconsistent...he just need to have 50% of LCW's consistent, then he will be deadly...

just my 0.02 cents..

Shi has always been a top 5 player since 2017, his ranking drop after been banned by China national team for unsportsmanship and arrogant conduct in 2021, hence he is just back to his original condition, viktor won't maintain his #1 for so long if not for the ban.

he is more humble and calm now, you won't see him celebrate much whenever he wins.

Anyway, can sense that this will be LKY swan song tournament n retiring soon..

He’s way too slow and too predictable in his game…

Current new crop of players really fast and really solid in their game especially the new up and coming players like French player Alex Lanier n all the Taiwan Kias…🤭

Sg badminton really needs a hard reset if they want to produce another player like LKY..
