If a guy infected with delta variant meet with a guy infected with omicron variant.And they cross infect each other.

for some reasons, they have only barely 50% efficacy.

what makes you think it will be more effective against mutations like omicron if they were not that effective against alpha in the first place ? 

theoretically, injecting a "whole" virus (weakened) should trigger the antibodies, but seems like the body don't really like, don't really bite. maybe it like a real live chicken, not a dead one.

Its very simple really mRNA vaccines makers say so.

The president of Moderna thinks there could be a significant drop in the efficacy of its existing vaccine against omicron based on how it has fared against other COVID-19 variants.

So they need to make the Omicron variant targeted vaccine.

Moderna President Stephen Hoge said he believes booster shots carrying genes specifically targeting mutations in the newly-discovered omicron variant would be the quickest way to address any anticipated reductions in vaccine efficacy it may cause.

mRNA is designed to only recognise one part of the virus - the spike protein.

Like this lady's hair!

Whole virus vaccines is designed to recognise the whole person.

So if this lady takes off her hair curlers and straighten her hair the vaccine might not recognise her as the enemy.
