Maybe bring back petrol from jb then want to take out but smoking 🤪

It might really be so:

https://www.straitstimes.com/singapore/courts-crime/brisk-business-at-many-vape-shops-in-johor-baru-as-singaporeans-return-to-buy-e-cigarettes

Quote

Operating out of the first floor of a house in Johor Baru, the shop sells e-cigarettes, more commonly referred to as vapes.

Many Singaporeans entering Malaysia make one of their first stops there after a visit to a petrol station.

When The Straits Times dropped in at just past midnight in the early hours of Friday (April 15), a group of Singaporeans were there buying vapes.

Vaping and the sale of e-cigarettes are illegal in Singapore, but they said the devices were only for personal use at home.

Quick hop over to JB, top up gas, buy ciggies, maybe hands got a little petrol and transferred it to the car, and it becomes an accelerant.. and whoosh... BBQ Vezel..

Interior burning but not engine bay. Wonder if it's due to all the wiring mods and power banks that drivers like to install for dash cams, ICE, etc.

There is a recall on the Honda Vezel few years back? About a defective electrical component that could overheat and spark a fire, something like that.  There could be some Vezels still having the issue unresolved

If this is the case, this makes for a very interesting case to report.

Given that vehicle recalls here don't seem to be under the purview of LTA (when it rightfully SHOULD BE) - it's always a case of "shit waiting to hit the fan".

I'm starting to notice increasing cases from car sharing setup, with BlueSG the champion so far.  😁

Eventually some transport academic may study this trend and analyze driver behavior between private owned cars and those on sharing platform.
