The Jazz driver must be not paying attention to the road. He had ample time and space to siam if he is focus, not as if the bus suddenly shot out.

Much as I do not like buses that nonchalantly turn out of bus bay, but this one the car get the bulk of the fault.

The question here is who has the right of way?

Jazz going straight or bus exiting bus  bay.

Whether jazz is alert or not is secondary.

Question is not who has the right of way but whether the incident is avoidable.

The Jazz drove like as if the driver had fainted. There is no reaction to the bus coming out.

Does one insists on right of way at the expense of injury or death?

@Hamburger Buses has the right of way for Give-Way Box. 100% Fit's fault, wont be able to claim. I always keep a distance from Give-Way Box.

(b)a bus which is at a bus stop, or a bus bay, stops before entering a Bus Give-Way Box and the driver of the bus signals his intention to turn the bus into the Bus Give-Way Box,

Nope, that’s not a give way to bus box. It’s just a normal yellow box. Bus should stop and check.

Having said that, the car driver has zero road awareness.

Jazz driver indeed takes all the blame. One is not supposed to change lanes within yellow boxes because of such possible scenarios happening - finally we see someone who got what he deserved.

Not sure it's because of the new give-way-to-buses box implemented in recent years, I noticed some bus drivers nowadays drive out of bus bays without checking for traffic, thinking that all bus bays have these boxes. It's probably confusing to them too... Before that, bus drivers tend to watch out for traffic when exiting bus bays...

If me, I don't want the F.O.C can of paint. I want the culprit to repaint my whole car as compensation.:D

no point discussing whether accident could have been avoided or not since it has happened.

The bus came out from the bus bay regardless of the oncoming traffic. Period.
