Hi everyone, was wondering if there are any of you here with 3 kids and a helper and if so, what's the car that you drive? Currently have 2 kids and 1 more on the way.

Do you guys find yourselves having to ferry your partner+3 kids+helper very often? I am driving a 5 seater and wondering if it is really necessary to change to a 7 seater...

Thanks!

Been thru that phase. I bought a Honda Edix. Alas, they do not have follow up models. If CEO car is your cup of tea, u may check it out. Else, buy a full fledge MPV as the kids grow up fast and for some, wife, maid and driver grow plumpy. I bought the biggest MOFO for my family.

Actually, this bring to the FINE FINE Print of Car Insurance lor ...... I have NEVER Heard of Insurance exercising this clause one de ........

Like my newly switched to Income recently stated :

"Seating capacity
We will not pay for any accident, loss, damage,
injury or legal responsibility if the number of people
(including the driver) in your vehicle at the time of
the accident is more than its legal seating capacity."

My eLTA Card said about my 7 seaters Kia Carens U2 1.7L is "Passenger Capacity: 6".  So 5 seater is n -1 ah ?

So 2 Parent + 3 Kids + 1 maid = 6 people.

What ?? Kids is 1/2 people ...... LIKE Taxi ah ?

I believe elta card mentions pasenger capacity, not including driver. So its passengers + 1.

Would advise get an proper MPV.

Sienta, Freed, Serena etc are okay, but still a compromise.

Have the new Honda Odyssey as a family car, weekend one car settle. There's still space for groceries, pram etc.

Car comes equipped with many safety features and feels solid. Problem is the fuel consumption may be high running a 2.4L and paying the COE premiums now.

200k before nego. If open getting an used will save you some moola.

After browsing through the options, also inclined towards a proper MPV and Odyssey is on the shortlist.

Will adopt a wait and see approach given the COE situation and am ok with exploring the used market if there is a pressing need.

All depends on your budget or I would say physical size.

Need at least a 7 seater but this kind of car also comes with several sizes. All the way from Sienta to Alphard

Just like a typical 5 seater car, S class and Suzuki swift are both 5 seaters

Got a van here and it's really good when bringing out family for leisure time

Compared to 7 seater it's cheaper 50%!

Cons is minus the comfort and speeding and maybe high maintenance
