So far all the cars I've owned and my dad owned. Toyota, honda, hyundai. All had AC change. Just at which stage.

Can't afford Conti.

Wah, you good life😂, so far, all the cars my dad owns (besides the Volvo 240 GLE he had) are owned by me and my brother. Haha

My bro loves Conti, but I have so far not owned one seeing they have many small repairs with the service cost so high. My few old rides are Toyotas till current ride 7.5 years. All got no major repairs at all. Old Corolla more than 10 years changed one time radiator. Corolla Altis got drive shaft link change within warranty period. Camry 9.5 years only change 2 rear shock absorber.

My current ride, if COE remains, I will just pay for it and continue till I am 65 sua liao. Haha

both my cars AC were replaced by Edwin Garage.
No frills. reasonable price to me.

But need to book appt with them as they have high volume and limited space. Walk in chance is low.

Your Elantra AC already replaced liao? So fast?

Looks like Toyota car need not much repair?! Even Conti say until like many repairs and service cost is high, but there are many people in SG still like to drive conti. Lol.

no doubt. But for city driving in SG, not much use honestly.

After switching to driving my wife's car, a compact/subcompact car is just more nimble (and fun) to drive regardless. Even if less power, using torsion beam or what not.

Me got nothing against conti, in our family, we got them. My boss drives a Volvo and has a BMW too. When I tell him my car is at service center for the day and we need to handle customer, he will ask me go to his house to pick up the Volvo.

The drive of it is not bad, in his opinion, he likes the design, always praising the design is nice. Not me, I hate the interior as compared to my ride. The drive I concluded, pickup fast, got the ohm on the drive. But then again this is not me, I prefer NA, higher powered NA for a smooth pick up. Ask me drive to somewhere with him, he pickup damn fast, but also slow down more often, we still arrive almost the same time due to my constant speed is higher.

During those time, when we are not in one company, we talk and buy our car about the same time, me choose Lexus, Boss choose Volvo, both wee about within 5k difference. Now 7 years on, I have not changed anything as yet except for the consumables. In comparison, Volvo has one time of software hang, aircon breakdown one time under warranty. Replace coolant pipes ($4,000). Replace drive shaft link due to oil leaking, I not sure how much. Replace send link and also cracked piping.

Now he fed up, but he still go back to Volvo and change a new model. Haha. What to do?

Agree, the handling from pick up to feel on the road. But I don't feel my ride got and handling issues, I prefer to lighter handling leh
