Bro @Gnahp and @Throttle2,

Wanna seek your advice on this, me too backside itchy thinking of getting a side bike. Has stopped riding more than 15 years ago. Thinking of using the bike to run short errands (i.e. buy food from nearby malls) or ride to work when weather is good (traffic jam is a killer).

No Class 2 though, so thinking either getting a 2B scooter such as Aerox or NMAX (newer ones with ABS and TCS) or RE Meteor 350. Just personal preference and my height. Have yet to think of how to upkeep both a car and bike and their maintenance.

Hi Dude
not so much to share, for me its a question of effort and trouble versus the pleasure i get in owning (not riding) becos i wont ride much, maybe 1000km per year?

my bikes have always been lifestyle and not utility purpose so i believe the considerations are different.  Same for Gnahp, i know.

good luck in your search.  Cheers

I renewed two not too long ago and the third is coming soon in 2024

the $ per km of the ownership is crazy, don't want to think about it

like throttle, my choice of bike is always lifestyle bikes, they serve zero practical purpose

all my bikes don't have IU, don't have any form of storage, can't even ride to a mall to da bao a pack of chicken rice

I also struggled to give any meaningful recommendation to you 😁

2B scooter is underpowered imo. consider 2A instead, like Xmax or Forza.

Plenty of parts around and very utilitarian. good for marketing and tooting around town.

retirement is still very far for me

and the bikes are getting heavier everyday

by the time when I can retire, probably don't have the strength to push a 200+ kg bike anymore

not only bike, I am starting to feel the car seat is getting lower and lower too

the day when I need to switch to SUV is not too far away

it's xia sui if we drop the bike now, camera everywhere ready to put you on social medias 🤣

sometimes I wondered how those seniors in their 60s ~ 70s can manage such a heavy machine

I guess I need to train up my body muscles

a doctor told me, after 50, if the muscles are wasted, they are gone forever, unlikely to grow back
