After they cleaned up cross the next "fun" place. Abit of far away from Sydney though. 😁

I am abit surprised more advanced Asian countries like S Korea or Japan cannot win Apple contract to make iPhones their factories.

It will be very costly to have iPhones made in Japan or Korea. I will be very surprised if apple have products made in those 2 countries.

Agree - as it is, the selling price for iPhones already commands a premium. If they were to be made in KR/JPN, production costs will be higher and highly doubtful Apple will want to narrow their profit margin to keep the selling price the same.

I really shudder at the thought of the iPhones made in such countries. They will cost much more then a Macbook for sure.

Indeed - However, there are many Apple-die-hard-Fans who are prepared to spend a fortune or sell their kidneys and to own a iPhone!

This means cost is not a a major barrier for pple who wants a Apple product.

This goes back to my fundamental question - Why Apple Inc continue to contract manufacturing to Chinese factories when they priced their products at a premium which the market is prepared to stomach ? 🤔

You already said that the Apple products are priced at a premium and market will able to stomach it. So why not continue to manufacture in a Low cost country with reasonable facilities, infrastructure, government and have huge mark ups?

Their expertise is not in here. Foxconn, Luxshare, and the other Contract manufacturer are the low cost company providing the manufacturing. Hopefully they don't go into vicious competition
