You are entitled to seem all you want.

So very divided on whether mobile phone is good enough but then like some 'special' trips need a proper camera.

IMHO I’m not flip flopping as there is no correct ‘answers’ but opinions on camera phone or camera. Not  both also can opinions being asked for. you are right that I’m entitled to seem all I want. Not sure what makes you think I’m divided as I’m just asking for opinions and not decisions. I’m sure of people prefer camera phone or camera but not both also good opionion.

IMHO.

On hindsight, actually the answer is yes for you.  Because, regardless, you will just carry a mobile and not a digital camera.

I think when one goes for vacation, it’s about going there to be relaxed and enjoy oneself. Sometimes I think Singaporeans are too obsessed about taking photos than enjoying the experience itself. If it’s for memory sake, then the phone camera or video function will capture the special moments and do the trick. If one’s objective is to take a beautiful shot that is national geographic worthy or can post on Instagram to get likes or recognition, then you will need a proper DSLR camera. I think for the majority who merely wants to enjoy themselves without lugging something heavy along while taking some photos for memory, a phone camera will suffice.

IMHO The answer might be yes or no for me. It’s the opinions I’m looking for regardless of whether will I use a phone as a camera just because it’s on me. I’m sharing with you now.

Yeah for most who post their opinions in here it seems like a mobile phone is what most use during their vacations.

The word instead is "substitute or alternative" 
You're asking to use a mobile phone as a alternative or substitute to the digital camera.  As long as there is no general consensus on the use of mobile, by default the answer is NO.

Thus, there cannot be no answer to the question as it is already NO.

after reading what 2 bros post here.. use digital camera or use mobile take picture.. 

i think it is really about how capable the mobile is. some is really capable until camera cannot beat. but only some. like iphone. 1.3k price.

but camera also 1 kind of price.. 

in the end post production tweak the picture very important also. cause raw files sometimes exposure not perfect.

IMHO some people's 'answer' can be a YES. Thats is why it is opinions that I am asking for and not answers as there is no answers as there can only ne opinions. No one is right as everyone can choose either a phone or a camera. You can have your 'answer' but to me its all opinion.

lol. yeah. 

but i don't agree that mobiles like iphones are more capable than a proper digital cam. Computation photography do help closing up the gap artificially. But what you get is an unnatural photo, over saturated, over sharpened and lacking details. 

just take a photo with both systems and blow them out in LR. Photography is not all about gear but a set of good gear will help in improving your good photos hit rate.
