The thing is the pattern all matches the spare tire. And buying from LSTA, the date code is very new. 34/22 manes less than 2 month old from the factory

I avoid all Yokohama tires. Lousy wet grip. Always poorer than the competition.

Not true.

For grip, it does not go with brand. It varies from model to model. Even some euro branded ones, some models have lousy grip too.

It does not matter much is you are a safe driver and who does not chiong all the time. I understand your logic to go with the spare tyre.

It is the availability of info on the net that we can search for. How many drivers/owners really bother to find out? Most of the people would just go according to his trusted brand, never mind the model...

Two well-liked summer touring tyres are the Bridgestone Turanza T005 and Michelin Primacy MXV4. Both vehicles have strong traction control, good handling on wet roads, and quick stopping distances. They do, however, differ in some things. The wet braking performance of the Turanza T005 is inferior to that of the Michelin Primacy 4. In addition, the Michelin Primacy 4 outperforms the Turanza in terms of damp handling.

Bridgestone Turanza is an excellent tire for those who are on a budget. It feels like the Michelin Primacy 4, but it costs significantly less. Bridgestone Turanza T005 costs around $177 and Michelin Primacy 4 cost around $188.

Turbocharged

1. Spark car care (previously ComfortDelgro) has a promotion for Davanti DX390 in Shopee.  For profile of 215/60/R16, the price is $95/ piece.

2. In carousell, someone is selling "autogreen" brand at $340 for a set of 4 tyres.  A google search show that it is a China brand but seems to have good review - https://www.tyre-shopper.co.uk/autogreen-tyres

Heard of these 2 brands?  Or would it be safer to stick to Yokohama BluEarth?

Primacy 4. Best all-rounder among the list

I finally got Primacy 4. After about 2 months of use, I find it more silent than Bridgestone T005, very comfortable, and yet also quite grippy during cornering. 👍🏼

very nice. Bridgestone typically have firm sidewalls for their tyres, I'd assume Turanza 6 has firm side walls ?

Primacy series are quiet, comfortable and durable. Good for high mileage drivers who do not need wet traction, nor push hard round bends. My OEM supplied P3 seemed to run without any sign of wear even at 36,000km. I only changed it with plenty of life left because I wanted to try PS3.
