Opinions on getting a Tesla in SG

Woo, finally wrote my first commentary piece for MCF! 😊 I would like to know your thoughts/opinions on it. Would you ever get a Tesla in SG? 🤔

Model 3 doesn't seem appealing to me. the interior is rather bland. I'll get the Model S... if (1) there are enough charging points available, or (2) if i live in a landed property so i can charge it every night. Otherwise no thanks i'll stick to petrol or hybrid.

Not worth the time and money. Maybe it's because i condemned it. My facebook friend from secondary school apparently first few to get his hands on a brand new Model 3 through AD. Been taking photos galore of his Model 3 and posing beside his car. Same pose different angle. Moreover, been "showing" his car at the Tesla supercharger and sharing the charging speed. 

To a point i unfollowed him, too showy already. On a side note, what happens if the tablet is damaged or unable to power on? Can one adjust the settings via a phone app? That is the main worry. Too much technology and electronics...................... dangerous once up lorry.

I tell you what. You buy tesla stocks and a MG ZS EV.

 

Tesla Model 3 - 170K

MG ZS EV - 120K

Then the remaining 50K, you tambah all at tesla stocks, let it grow for the next 10 years, then after that you cash out, you buy the 10 years ago Tesla model 3. 😂

Win-win all the way!

 

 

Remember to charge your EV before moving off ah!

Nah…. Doesnt look good.  EV is nothing exclusive,  the other big car makers can built cars better than Tesla.

Traditional car makers still got a long way to catch up especially charging technology.

Tesla started giant die-casting machine to reduce number of parts.

320hp vs 141hp. Cannot compare la.

Tesla Model 3 hp is only 40 pony short of BMW M340 (which is selling at 355k)

My personal encounter with Tesla. My opinion, it's not a good drive to me. Let alone the looks (to me yah, not to my taste) 

Best I can accept is hybrid or mild hybrid at this moment

that is only if you are talking about totally changing the whole platform of models.

For you, no Taycan no talk la.

Traditional car makers is sharing chassis btw ICE and EV.

A lot of compromise la.

Merc EQS don’t even have Frunk.

erm. I am comparing in term of practicality wise. hahaha. Never look at the performance.

Then again, if I want performance, I will not look at tesla leh. hahaha.

No need taycan becos i find the proportions off as well

actually i dont care about EVs at this point.

i dont even care that much about cars at this point.  Just dont like the look of a Tesla so that makes me even care less about it

i think my next car would be a simple S Class

My CEO has a SUV and we build a charging station for it just at his parking lot. But the car, seems like those drivers also not keen to drive. Always parked there

Tesla is not only  good for the rich MCFers  who can cash and carry, it is also good for poor MCFers like me, 10 years later I will buy one at near $0 PARF to renew COE. And I don't have to worry about engine overhaul. Looking forward to owning a Tesla. 😅😅
