Jamesc Hypersonic September 3, 2021 Share September 3, 2021 What's the difference he keeps a pig and when big he eats it and pigs live in a pen and when big we eat it?
Datsun366 Turbocharged September 3, 2021 Share September 3, 2021 Ever had pigs kept for a wedding. They cleaned up the area really good. the stewed and steamed trotters were really good, better than most commercial ones available. They looked really cute as well. The couple chose black as it supposedly taste better. No innuendo, just the truth. Best pork ever. it’s a fact of life most city dwellers do not realise their supposed pity and compassion does not include themselves / and what they do as well as what is happening beyond the digitalized world. such as manipulation of set schema claiming they are of a certain profession and inviting questions. This thread is an awakening variety. Such as the concept of China to PRC Chinese versus Chinese of another dynastic heritage. how do bears view their food? Invigorated Supercharged September 5, 2021 Share September 5, 2021 Didn't quite understand what the elders meant when they said, don't play with your food. Guess I do understand now. It's not wrong to eat pork obviously, but it's morally wrong n insensitive to eat a pet pig. Obviously we were baited to feel for the pet pig and when the pet was eaten as food, the normal human response would be sympathy n loss. What's so surprising about that, especially to us car owners? We see cars being scrapped all the time n feel nothing but when you see your precious car that had gone thru your TLC merely being scratched, do u feel that pain in your heart? N that's only for a non-living thing..

We see cars being scrapped all the time n feel nothing but when you see your precious car that had gone thru your TLC merely being scratched, do u feel that pain in your heart? N that's only for a non-living thing.. The problem with this life is about "attachment". We need to change or add somethings we learn in school eg financial literacy, learn and acknowledge our own mortality, etc Some amazing facts 1. We don't know if we can be 100% sure to wake up tomorrow but yet we set up our alarm clock to wake up in the morning, plan for tomorrow and even years later. 2. We walk and act as if we are immortal but the reality is we all eventually die. You can exercise, you can eat well and you can sleep well but eventually you still die. This is a reality. 3. It is difficult to say with certainty anybody is right or wrong about eating pets. The problem is we humanized our pets (animals). Would anybody felt the same say if someone kept ants as pet and after 100 days deep fried them for food? In a desperate situation, "famine", everyone is eating pebbles to keep themselves from hunger, would you sacrifice the pet for food for the family? Some say pig like many animals were designated as part of the food chain despite how they were treated be it in a cage or roam free in a farm. In any case, the end point is certain but from now to the end point, we can give the animal quality life? Nobody complains about cows being given beer until they are almost or even drunk on a daily basis so that you can get your wonderful Japanese beef? How's that for ill treating your farm animal and not even your pet? Ever wondered why the migration from military to shipping and then to newsprint? Its to reduced the attachment factor. But secretly I hope to be in newsprint for a while longer. So please do kindly support ST subscription.
