What's the point of Bugatti opening an SG showroom?

There are the ultra high network individuals who buy cars to keep them in the garage and only to be "driven" during special event, for example Ferrari Enzo and Bugatti Veyron Vitesse.

If I recall correctly, there had been a McLaren LM-spec car that was imported from UK, London to Singapore and exported out a few years later.

When they can afford such cars, they can jet their cars to any circuit in the world to drive and jet it back.

Does anyone know how many Koenigsegg are there in Singapore? I have seen the Agera S and RS, any orders for Jesko and Gemera? Would love to see the real deal in Singapore.

Woah, honestly, I've never thought of it that way. 😮 Imagine being so rich that you're able to import and export supercars within countries to drive at events 😭. It's something that most of us won't ever get to experience in this lifetime.

The ultra rich was a way of moving their stuff and the "toys", using it as favours for business purposes and building relationship (eg. Hosting private driving events... You get the business people together and with that, help you make more money). You think of such spending  as your "loose change" that you dun bat an eyelid when you spend it. Then you will realize that such "splurging" is actually no big deal to the ultra rich. In fact, it can be rewarding tool to strike relationship and make new billionaire friends.

It should be ultra high net worth individuals. Pardon for the typo.

Yes, not an experience that is easy to achieve.

Maybe to cater for China market ..... [sly]

They won't set up a showroom in China b'cos of on going Trade War led by USA and some European countries..... :slow:

China have many rich peoples and can affort to buy it in cash. Look at the amount of expensive sport car brands in China.

So SG will be the main branch and 3 or 4 distributers there. :we-all-gonna-die:

Strange as it seems, this is the only class of car that the value can actually appreciate as years go by!

Our kind of cars can only know depreciation, and very fast too in the first few years.

A multimillion-dollar Bugatti sports car can’t even be legally driven on Singapore roads, so if the opening of its first showroom in Southeast Asia is not the ultimate flex, we don’t know what is.

The French carmaker strictly produces only left-hand drives and you could scour the world and never find a right-hand drive Bugatti, assures Victor Kwan, managing director of Wearnes Prestige.

Why, then, open a showroom here?

“When you talk luxury, you think real estate, fashion, automotive… and Bugatti is at the top of luxury automotive, so to have a Bugatti showroom here is a significant moment for the Singapore automotive market and signifies Singapore’s status as a luxury hub,” said Kwan, who heads all the ultra-premium marques under the Wearnes distribution umbrella, including Bentley, Aston Martin, Alpine and Lotus across the region.

The new showroom, one of only 30 Bugatti showrooms in the world, is it's second in Asia after Japan.

The space was designed by Bugatti’s headquarters in Molsheim, France, and boasts room for two of these achingly beautiful beasts.

Currently, however, only one takes centre stage: The Bugatti Chiron Pur Sport, which can be yours but can’t be driven off the lot, for a super cool €3.1 million (S$4.98 million) for a base model without options.

Now that’s a big chunk of change of Crazy Rich Asians proportions and owning a Bugatti (especially in Singapore) clearly puts you snugly in the league of one percent-ers. Or more like zero-point-five percent-ers.

====================

Thoughts on Bugatti opening a showroom to show off their sports cars that can't be driven in SG? 😮

what is their rationale for only left hand cars?

It is an abitrary rule set by governments. It is not like some divine law that only left hand drive cars are considered proper or what

Find this very retarded

Yet sell cars to Japan and HK? What about UK? UK is home for elites, they also right side what.

Majority of the world is LHD, including important markets like China and US.

UK, HK and Japan are RHD but they allow LHD cars to be driven on their roads. Only Singapore die die cannot. To get them to convert to RHD just for us is just not worth the time and effort. We are only a kachang puteh market to car makers.
