BMW is infamous for 2 things, lousy stock brakes and sound system(default not high end)

What happen to oil leaks. Whatever oil is in a bmw it will surely leak.

With COE all time higher and higher and out of sight.

The value proposition of this cute hot hatch over the Mazda 2 and 3, the Kia Niros, the stonics, the nissan kicks. qashqais, the toyota ones, the Volksvagen golf...

This 116i more wu hua lor.. Pai seh ah, this is based on my own observation and checking around these to conclude to this.

If the Current 1 Series is RWD like the F20..then is 👍But now is FWD,i rather buy the Mazda 3 Hatchback.

Taken ownership of this ride a week back.

Wife driving this car. Coming from a Mazda 2, this 1 series is larger, a little more responsive and a bit more premium feel and touch. OS7 is still easy to use and operate. Still with Hey BMW, not hello BMW on the newer OS8.

116 brake pad wear rate is alarming.

21,000km, already worn out and need to replace.

Mini Cooper S brake pads need replacement at what mileage intervals?

About 10k km for front.

Unless don’t use OE pad from Textar

Looks like still lots of meat on the pads. I only change when down to 2mm as per manufacturer. New is 10mm for my car.
for bmw it seems to be 12mm and change at 3mm.
anyway got wear sensor. What’s there to be afraid of. When wear sensor comes on then get it changed. There is also some built in buffer.
unless one goes to the track with the pads, else no big deal with the above shown.
all the nonsense from local shops. Just want to con you into changing earlier.
