Liverpool Football Club 2021/2022 - We go again.

I read in some reliable reports that Liverpool is taking a hard stand on Mane's transfer. Two conditions needs to be met before the club sanctions the sale, namely (1) at least 50 mil Euros for Mane and (2) a capable replacement is secured. Also read that the club has decided to rather keep Mane for an additional year and let him leave for free if the above 2 conditions weren't met.

Just let him go ..... :we-all-gonna-die:

His heart is not with Pool now and having him for another year is a liability to teammates and expectations of him to play punk also ....  :lll._.:

I think there is a reason Pool will let Mane and Salah play one more year and then let them go for free.

Both will be 32 in 2 years and both will lose their speed.

Even if they are slightly slower its the difference between scoring and the defender getting a tackle in.

So at 32 maybe Pool don't want to give them a contract extension.

:D

The only one can give a contract extension to is Bobby.

He has no speed and his game is drop deep into midfield to pick up the ball and then pass out wide to one of the wingers to run onto.

He has no speed and can play until he is 36.

:D

Only problem is his game is about tracking back and tackling and don't know if he still got the energy to do it.

togt beforehand that Bobby was more likely to leave compared to Mane or Salah. Think Mane showed his hand first. I think 2 likely issues - poor re-contract pay and he is likely sick of playing 2nd-fiddle to Salah.

Bobby and Salah both signalled publicly that they want to stay for another season at least.  In case the contract renewal fails, the fans will know it is cos they were pushed out of the door.

Klopp has another 4 years to rebuild this team.  Salah, Bobby and Mane were developed into WC players by Klopp. I wont be surprised to see Mane struggling once he joins another team, Similar to what Gini and Coutinho have found out.  They look so good cos Klopp have made them who they were.

At the end of the day, players come and go.  we can only trust that Klopp will do what is best for the club. I just hope we will have another title run before he leaves...  City will strengthen massively this summer while depending on the players leaving, it looks like Klopp will have to cope with a significant rebuilding project.

What pool lacked is a stevie where KDB is to manshitty.

We need such a box to box player to assist the front three.

Tchouameni can be the one but like what some bros said he is an too-obvious-choice and many reports saying he will go to RM.

Bellingham, unlikely to be available this window, would be a perfect choice. Beefing up the local quota and can learn from Thiago, take over from Hendo in future, replaces Keita and allow us to get rid of Ox and maybe a couple of other midfielders.

Villa has a young promising midfielder though.

We could consider snapping up a few more young promising players this summer. Else, they will usually become more expensive after the world cup.

On the flip side, many of our squad players will want to leave for more regular game time in order to push for a place in their nation's world cup squad.

Klopp wont extend to 2026 just to spend the next 4 yrs rebuilding. The backbone is intact except for the leading front man. Am still hoping he will switch to a 4-2-3-1 or 4-2-2-2

heard opening bid for Mane has come in but was swiftly rejected.  not sure how long the club will play hard ball but suspect that it has set a selling price internally.

The likes of Salah will be licking their chops... cos he may wish to put more pressure on his salary demands.

BM will need to spend to replace their star forward so there is no need to short sell... how much is Mane's wages for a year... even if he is on 200kpw, its only ard 10M pa. The club is not short of 10M. Just sell Neco Williams and N Phillips and we will be able to afford his salary. Why ask for 50M? Cos Diaz cost ard that amount and was supposed to be Mane replacement anyway.

BM, show us the money and you get a top top playet who excel across front three.

Haha...I was thinking try 3-4-3 with 3 CDs behind with their usual high line defense. Cos teams always like to exploit spaces behind TAA and sometimes Robertson and frankly, TAA is not his best when comes to defensive duties. Also as both TAA and Robertson age, really not easy to expect them to run up and down all the time and able to cross at one end and then defend well on the other end.

But don't think this formation will ever happen......😁

think Pool is trying to defend the salary expectations across the entire squad. Mane is first to blink as he knows the club wont pay or match whatever Salah will be getting.  For Salah, I think he is increasing frustrated.  Looking at FSG, am sure they wont bother to offer 300 or 400K... max 200+k which compared to the rest of the truly WC players, are not relatively fair.

Salah have a big summer to think about this...  I think FSG may be forced to push him out unless he commits. Salah will probably fetch ~ 40-50M in this last year of contract.

w/o Salah and Mane, think the rebuilding project which we all are dreading... may well be the reality..
