We lost.

Season ended with a domestic cup double to show for.

It’s one heck of a ride.

YNWA.

Everyone knew this would happen.

Robbo moves up to attack leaving left back area empty

RM attack our left and VVD would be pulled out to the left to cover.

TAA would move to the middle and ball watch leaving

Vini Jr free to run in behind him to score.

:D

We lost. They scored so easily and we didnt. Congratz to RM.

Dun remember TAA and Robbo putting in any decent crosses.

Time to beef up the midfield.

We didn't score a goal from open play in the 3 finals.

Watched the highlights...Courtois definitely secured the trophy for RM with his multiple spectacular saves...

Pools lost to a team that played their game well while they themselves gave way too many poor passes...defenders were fine but that one moment of lapse was all RM needed to score

Not a night for TAA...

How's that an offside in the first half...? There was a last red shirt between the scorer and the goal line 🤔

Real madrid really know how to win

they beat man city and chelsea and psg by one goal win too

kudos to their keeper

RM's recent CL titles - 2014, 2016, 2017, 2018, 2022

winning 50% in the past decade

really the king of CL

But I feel pools never play their normal game also. I watch their big game against man c chelsea etc, their sop is high press and high line esp super intense press straight from the start

But this morning they play differently ( maybe its kloop game plan?) pools play low block, their attacker pull back to middle line most of the time and invite RM to have a go at them .( thats the way i see )

But anw, pool still do more then enough to get a win, but no luck. and as alway taa is their weak link. He dun even know Vinicius Júnior is behind him till the ball go in.

Yes. So all it took was a goal.

No complains about RM. They did what they wanted to do. Like you say, the better team won.

Dun think we deployed a low block but our press wasnt that effective. Either the midfield trio not 100% fit or they were set up to allow RM to come out of their shell. I think we did enough to score but their goalie was BIG (not just in size). I feel that our players wanted to keep the ball more than passing it. Our usual game was: pass it fast and if we lost it, get it back as we have one extra man i.e. create chaos. Last night was: keep it tidy and dont let Modric and Kroos get the ball in a position where they can just set up the forwards in 1 pass i.e. possession / control.

Take Diaz as example, he hardly has a chance to run wild with the ball. Everytime he turned, the right back is nearby sticking body to body.

Maybe the mentality monsters are plain tired after 63 games.

Not forgetting that they won 14 out of 17 final appearances.  A 82.35% success rate

I think they had divine help when comes to CL.

"There's not much I can say -- this was a really difficult Champions League campaign, if anything tonight was easier than the previous games," Ancelotti said

Sums up everything . Like I said, they probably didn't think they would win it so casually in a final.

Their goal was a result of some quick passing and a very pinpoint accurate cross to Vin Jr. Nothing too complicated.

Pool had enough chances, but the passing was slow (gave time for RM to organise and block),  many misplace passes, and crosses that were inaccurate.  I think Pool had more shots that went to row Z then decent  crosses.  Of course their goalie also kept out some good shots from Mane and Salah.
