If not for the heroics of Kasper S, the margin of victory would be greater. Plus SALAH hit the crossbar/post…..

can really see salah class last night, his holding and turning was really one of the best on the pitch last night. His not a happy man, hopefully he can turn his disappointment into a even greater driving force for silverware this seasons.

Jürgen Klopp has described Luis Díaz’s full Liverpool debut as “one of the best I ever saw” while insisting the new signing needs time to adapt to the Premier League.

The Colombia international made an accomplished first start for Klopp’s team in the 2-0 defeat of Leicester on Thursday, when handed an early opportunity to impress Anfield in the absence of Sadio Mané.

Klopp credited Díaz’s “skill-set and character” for the seamless introduction and, despite calling for calm, admits he was captivated by the winger’s 89-minute display.

“It was his first game and it was probably one of the best I ever saw from a new player, that’s true, because he looked completely natural,” the Liverpool manager said. “But it was only a first game and we have to see how he adapts to working with intensity and all this kind of things in the Premier League.

“There is no rush. Last night was a very good opportunity to start him because of Sadio not being here yet and Mo [Salah] coming back from an incredibly tense tournament and, yes, he showed up.”

Jurgen Klopp ruled out the possibility of James Milner announcing his retirement at the end of the season, and is keen to offer his vice-captain a new contract.

Milner’s current deal at Liverpool expires at the end of the season, but Klopp hopes that an agreement can be reached with the midfielder to extend his stay at Anfield.

A hard fought narrow 1 - 0 Away win with very wet and windy conditions. A pretty flat performance in truth.

Burnley for the first half an hour or so was able to fashion out a few chances, which if they were clinical, we would be in trouble.

Still, we rode our luck and then got a goal courtesy of Fab from a corner.

In the 2nd half, I would say we were relatively comfortable, though if we got the 2nd goal, it would have helped greatly.

Next up, away to Inter, where UCL resumes!

YNWA.

Think we had a few problems dealing with balls behind our defence partly due to the wind. Its normal that some of our players did go all out as we are travelling to Milan midweek.

Burnley is actually quite good defensively and their problem is scoring goals.

Anyway, whats important is getting 3 points to keep up with City... and good to see Keita playing 88min...
