ST opinion: Windfall gains from selling flats should be taxed

Maybe? Tax those that are 1st owner BTO? 
surely a progressive tax like our income tax is workable so that those that “make” more are taxed more.

HDB can then sell this assets to Temasek or GIC or another affiliated fund. Since these assets are owned by HDB, and thus AAA rated, there's no need to be risk weighted or low risk weighted. Then can take leverage on them. then woohoo! More money!

Can repackaged to a new asset class where locals can participate.
If HDB price go up, everyone who invest in this fund huat ah!

Well. i know plenty of people living in EC, including close relatives so haha i better don't talk too much.

Truth is many white collar singaporeans do want the condominium lifestyle. Including my own relatives who bought EC or upgraded from HDB BTO to EC.
So URA/SLA urban planning is catering to the aspirations of society lol.

Nowadays indeed many people upgrade from HDB to EC or condo. No need so called white collar also can. My previous company got technician also stay in EC, now with dual income like very easy lo. 😂
