The Yangzi dehumidifier is available on Shopee as well for less than SGD60 but there are quite a few reviews saying it doesn't do much to lower humidity and can only bring RH down to about 60+ though on paper it says you can set it to lower. Do read a lot of reviews before deciding on one. If your budget is 200, I think you can afford to go for a more reliable one which can bring the RH down to 30, 40, 50 range.

Haha, I'm not surprised, that's why I bought a smaller one to 'compliment' my existing dehumidifiers.

I don't have accurate instruments to measure humidity but my wet clothes really dry much faster indoors.

Best for small office, gift for new homes, family use. Hyflux - The exclusive Aquovator, also known as dragon-fly, is an effective stand alone water generator that provides membrane filtered, ultraviolet (UV) purified, treated ambient water without the inconvenience of buying water refills, storing used and unused bottled water bottles and troublesome piping.

Convenient and portable, dragon-fly lets you enjoy freshly aquovated water at just the push of a button. It is also economical and easy to maintain as it requires no external piping, water refills and bottle storage.

The machine simply takes its source from the atmosphere, generating clean and natural water everyday. A recirculation process keeps aquovated water constantly fresh while in storage, cutting out the potential risk of bacterial build up which may arise in bottled water.

I actually use the water from my dehumidifiers to water my indoor plants and it's working great!

Should definitely get a dehumidifier to prevent mold from growing. It's hard to get rid of mold spores and it'll just keep coming back. Don't have to get a high end one. There are those lesser than 200 that I feel does a pretty good job too. Investing on a is one of my best purchase for 2021. I got it because of a booklice/mold issue that I had.

Ok I went to get this used one for $50 at Carousell. Hope it's good. My blockout curtains not supposed to wash but I just threw it into the landromat washers anyways. Hopefully now on no more mold.

For a machine that can maintain humidity, the mold will be gone as long as you set the humidity to be 50%

That's why very important to read reviews for some of the cheaper dehumidifiers before purchasing to make sure the RH is accurate and that it can get to at least 50%. I bought a Hygrometer just for this purpose. Both values may have discrepancies (it's a cheap hygrometer off Lazada) but at least I know the figure isn't far off.

Brand new or used? Looks sleek. Hope it works! Seems like I should get one for my storeroom too. Mum hangs the laundry there and I believe there's mold growth.

Since my stay in Beijing, I have Tanita Temperature/Hygrometer in the house.  It is about SGD20 from TB.

My Novita unit past 3 years old already.  Going on to 4th year now.

Used but in really good condition. Researched on the brand and it seems to be specialising in air purifying and dehumidification.

Got it on 7/7 sale and only install last weekend. My storeroom smells nice now.  Manual not v clear, took me awhile to understand how to set to auto mode.

It's quite well built with castors at the bottom. If this can last it will be a vfm buy.

Btw, the water collected can water plants anot?

Yay we have the same one now! Yes my mum use it to water the plants so it's fine. Her plants still alive after more than six months. I'm thinking of getting the bigger capacity one for my bedroom and put this into my storeroom. Can't live without a dehumidifier already. How much you got it during the sale btw?

I have been using your recommendation since 2018.  Still running well.
