Toyota definitely has alot of tech. Or for that matter so does lexus, VW or any large carmaker with scale and a large R&D budget.

Unfortunately from its position as market leader toyota failed to filter down its bleeding edge tech and other brands caught up. Digital dashboards? VW group(95000 polos have them, 115k altis doesn't). Digital temperature controls? Your basic Korean ceratos, sonatas, mazdas, even the Honda city. Unfortunately not the vios. Integrated infotainment system? Seen the big squarish module at the 125k altis with a tiny screen installed in the middle? Compared to a 95k mazda 3 series with the infotainment system integrated to the top of the dashboard. Turbocharged small cap engines with high torque and good fuel efficiency? How badly does a 2.5l NA camry lose out to a 2.0l passat/a4/superb? A 1.0 polo winning out a 1.5l vios?

The proof of the pudding is in the eating. Or alternatively, my clearly disclaimed 2 cents view is a broadsword cutting down an entire brand 😂

Sorry for the digression 😊

As a Toyota owner, I approve the bashing. =D They deserve it, thoroughly so!

Conclusion: Avoid the overpriced and feature-starved Toyota =D

How about Mazda 5? Seems like a perfect family car. Have not read any really bad reviews on it and it's definitely family friendly but petrol consumption is normal for 2.0l. Almost all in sgcatmart is 1 owner only.

TS wants sedan or SUV, doesn't want MPV.😁

I sat in my colleague's Vezel and didn't like it. It felt like I'm bouncing with every road imperfection. Quite tiring after the ride.

The above is just my personal opinion. I may have felt differently if a pretty girl had sat next to me. 😁

Agree... the jap companies are too conservative and also increasingly don't give enough value compared to the europeans and the Koreans. If they are not careful they will go the way of the dino

So scared of buying ex-PHV, then go for OPC Vezel and then convert to normal plate lah.

True, buy OPC 100% not a PHV. Unless the owner bought the car in normal plate and used it as PHV, then later convert to OPC?! Lol.

I once sat in a PHV vezel and was impressed with the space and interior design.

The novelty ended the moment  the journey began.

Milo tin feel,  better than Attrage though.

And yes, got kind og dizzy spell too. Can't explain.

The motion sickness feeling inherent for most crossover and SUV.

Not really. I had a Sorento b4 n the ride quality was fantastic

In case someone bang table n say "big SUV how to compare to Crossover?" - I sat in a PHV Qashqai 1.2 b4 too. Ride was good. In fact, find that the Nissan seats were quite comfy

Wah.. I screened through 7 pages and none suggested Honda City. So I shall bring up the idea of recommending a City to TS.

Reason being:

1) Super spacious boot. Can put stroller and all your kiddos barang barang and still with plenty of room to spare. Backseat legroom are not compromised.

2) Sedan with good FC. I have members getting 18.2km/l. Most averaging 14-15km/l.

3) Low maintenance. So far from my 5 yrs of ownership, regular servicing and thats it.

4) Vtec. Need to explain more? Better driving pleasure.

5) A 4yr old car wouldn't cost you a bomb. Much lower than $80k with spare for your petrol expenses.

Thats all for my koyok selling.
