My sister's water pipe to her toilet basin just broke apart. Her basin is also bit cracked, so she's going to swap out everything. Waiting for her to get a new basin to replace (cos the size is out of stock). Spoke to ah soon. Quote around 300.

Ah soon quoted me $180. 😅

Now you know the baseline, anything too cheap, you should worry bro.
Give it one try and ask for a pro if it doesn't work ok?

Else get my tool kit, I got spares even hahaha, forgot I bought some and got duplicates...

Like tennis, even if you don't play well, you must get the right gear to look good ma... haha

(oh FYI, I did get the gold medal in my interdept games, so don't play play - those old days..)

When I want to do some plumbing work, I end up buying lots of tools.

$160 for one job can buy you lots, with spare change.

Dunno what size to get ? Well, maybe just start with a cheap set, https://shopee.sg/10Pcs-6-22mm-Metric-Tubular-Box-Wrench-Set-Tube-Bar-Spark-Plug-Spanner-Steel-Double-Ended-for-Automotive-Plumb-Repair-i.131669035.15705278474

and then start adding more.

Mostly, I find you'll need 23mm onwards.

I can never tell, which size I need, as you need multiple tools for removing hose, turning tap locking nut, etc. etc.

Then there's flat adjustable spanners, and so on. 😁

Success! Thanks to Mkl22 advice and this $3.90 pipe wrench. 😁

Total cost less than $50 and less than 10 mins.

Thanks man, will try to DIY.

Called a few plumbers, all charging $160-$180. 😵

$160-$180 is all in or just labour cost? 😅 Plumber charges not cheap, also dont know how they charge de. Even changing a basic tap can pay around $200, if include the parts, the labour and transport fees.

Wah bro well done 👍

My faucet pipes are concealed within my cabinets so I couldn’t do this and I suck at DIY anyway

I find inside the cabinet is easier with more room to access the underneath of tap...only trouble is removing all the barang barang out of the way...😅

the original standalone one from hdb I have at home has limited space...luckily my wrist is petite...😁
