It really depends on the clearance and access underneath...mine is a tight space with a double bowl and I have no vertical wrench...What I did was...use an open end spanner large enough to hold the nut in its position at an angle underneath the faucet...turn the entire faucet assembly in counter direction to loosen the lock position...i tink I can earn up to 10k also...😁

I know who to ask for help...

Bought a 24-27 box spanner from the DIY shop. They don't have the plastic multi-tool version.

Buy from Shopee...maybe try a local seller.

You might need a couple of adjustable spanners more, depending on the work.

Not the best quality, but cheap and does the job, hopefully.

I got 2 adjustable wrenches. 1 short one, 1 big one. With the box spanner hopefully sufficient. Though i dunno how tight the space is back there.

It's kitchen tap mixer, very marfan not to have it usable, not like toilet mixer.

So want to have minimal downtime.

On hindsight...i shouldn't have agreed to the double sink...have been trying to sell the large single sink idea to my wife for years...always make a detour to that section at ikea...😂

I have the red multi tool. Quite useless as it flexs and is too thick for most jobs.

You made the right choice.

This one I have also. Not very strong. A proper steel adjustable wrench is much better.  Just make sure the jaw can be open wide enough.

OK got it done. Took about 1hr plus with some help from the wife.

Bought the cold tap from a shop near arrow tyres that building.

First part was figuring how to remove the nut with the 24mm box spanner. . Not possible to loosen with my hands alone. Tried for like ten mins. Tried to use adjustable wrench. No space. Tried to use a screwdriver to create leverage. But too long even with the shortest one.

Lucky use my brain a bit. I have a lot of Allen keys. The biggest Allen key I have fits just nice.

Loosened up. Mount up with the new tap and nut. But the hole is too close to the edge of the sink. End up the new nut is overriding onto the sink edge making the above tap not being pushed down properly against the washer.

The old nut is just nice about maybe 1-1.5mm smaller in diameter compared to new. Took it out again and put the new nut on.

And finally finished product.

Top tip. Have big Allen keys to create leverage.

Used a bit of waterproofing paint to cover first. Don't have silicon and the caulker.

Next project...change the sink...diy or otherwise...rusty oredi...😁

Its not really rusty lah. Just accumulates the grime.

it's a stupid design. Cos I think it's meant for you to slot in a drainage tray etc into the sink. Instead of having a flat vertical surface down to the bottom.

The person who designed this part of the kitchen obviously doesn't cook. The sink is too wide causing there to be no bloody prep space on the left side and having to buy some narrow special size drying rack on the right side that its only available on taobao.

Should have just installed a single  smaller deep single basin sink instead of this half f**k double basin. I just use one to put my plastic bag for waste.

Your comment about the wok is spot on.

NOW Taobao has the perfect solution - one single large sink with a removable smaller second bowl that is supported by the edges of the fixed bowl.

Had to deploy my plumber again (BS Integrated Engineering Pte. Ltd)

Kudos to them for coming within hours.

These days sinks having this press down type of stopper for the sink, and it got stuck. I had a spare for such situations, but I'm useless to replace it myself.

I miss the old days where we have a little piece of rubber instead..

Also re-routed the pipes and got the thing running.

$150... but wife is happy that they came so quickly... they were at work before I even reached home

Wish I knew this though haha

I actually replaced my old sink stopper with this type of pop-up. It looks cool, don't need to keep a rubber stopper around. It cost around $10 each. Now my toddler likes to play with it by unscrewing the top off.

Maybe it's not such a good idea now.

My current problem is the discharge pipe is not "square" to the joint, and it push the discharge bottle to one side. I was thinking of heating the pipe and slightly bend it, but I don't want to have to fix a bigger problem.
