Lethalstrike Turbocharged April 19, 2021 Share April 19, 2021 (edited) Swee leh, looks like something more affordable for the masses. No diesel scandal, no 7-speed DSG fiasco, no touchscreens everything galore, I kind of like it. But what's the fuss with VW group's products obsessed with projecting an image on the ground for passengers? Audi A6 E-Tron concept is showing the same thing. Watwheels Supersonic April 19, 2021 Share April 19, 2021 Call me skeptical but I wont have blind faith in any car brands especially when it comes to EV. It is just like the vaccine. If many ppl has taken it and nothing happens to them, ok it is safe to use. But if there's an issue you might burn together with your car. To me it is two extremes. If you want to be an early bird go right ahead. Once I see that the early birds are ok then I will buy.

Carbon82 Moderator April 21, 2021 Author Share April 21, 2021 I think this is the answer to VW long standing questions: should there be a new generation Touran and/or Sharan? The popularity of SUV and Crossover have cannibalised the sales of MPV for the longest time, and while 6/7/8 seater are still in demand, the volume is simply not enough to prompt manufacturers such as VW to pump in R&D dollars to come up with another model. https://youtu.be/Rf0y4FZVmcs With this ID.6, VW basically kill 3 board with 1 stone: Consolidate the demand for Sharan and Touran into 1 single MPV category Jump onto the SUV bandwagon by shaping the ID.6 to look more like a SUV Shifting to EV will not only allow VW to capture a bigger share (at the moment when there are limited EV model) but also to move on from the diesel gate saga. With the above, I am personally expecting the price of the ID.6 to be around $150K - $160K when available here (with COE of <$50K).
