Compared to an acs pri->sec->nus/ivy/oxbridge minister, you know he'll mean it when he spouts lines like 'all schools are good schools', or spare us the bs.

Face the fact that these 4 potential PMs in waiting are simply not good enough...

Why till now still must insist on these Chosen ones?

We need someone with the bravado and foresight to lead us to the next frontier...

Oppos do have some good men with better capabilities than our current 4Gs..

But Oppo doesn’t have enough MP to form a cabinet.

in GE2020, WC GRC had a swing of -26%,  so actually these 4 chaps at < 70% and one at < 60% are not sure bets.

Overall, PAP vote % had dropped from 70% to 61%.

Even AMK GRC saw a drop of 7% in votes for PAP.

Among the 4, it is ranked as follows:

1. West Coast:         -27%

2. Tg Pagar:              -15%

3. Marsiling:             -6%

4. Sembawang:        -5%

It is not difficult for Party Sec Gen.  There are 2 candidates with better results than him and party overall.

These numbers do not tell the full story...tampines grc also drop from 72 to 66%. Arguably if hsk had stayed on, doubt it will be lower than 66%, which is in line with overall vote swing.

I actually prefer hsk as PM among the rest who does not play unnec politics. Look at his discomfort when he crossed sword with wp on the town council issue.

looking at candidates who are > 70% in GE2020

Tharman (64yo) - 74.6%

LHL (69yo) - 71.9%

TPL (37yo) - 71.7%

Lim Biow Chuan (57yo) - 73.8%

Melvin Yong (49yo) - 74.0%

Grace Fu (57yo) - 70.5%

by 2025, only 2 will still have sufficient runway

Melvin Yong

and

TPL

Not necessary Tampines will not drop below 66%.

In 2011, Tampines was 57% with Mah Bow Tan being the anchor.

Look at Sembawang.  It was 64% in 2011 under Khaw Boon Wan.
