Stratovarius Turbocharged March 22, 2021 Share March 22, 2021 56 minutes ago, kobayashiGT said: I am now on RE004. I will give my honest review on this. Even thou I am a hardcore Bridgestone supporter. Bought this at South east tyre, and comparing it to the RE003, I find the thread pattern of the RE003 more fierce-looking. This is more subtle. Some ppl like, some ppl don't, But the thread design has some science to it also. So cannot blame the tyre designer for not making it sportier. This is a Thailand made tyre, the price point is very reasonable. One thing I can really appreciate. I was previously on S007A, Japan made. The performance in the wet is top-notch. But the wear rate is very high. So after changing to RE004, so far so good. The wear rate I can only update after 10K. I think I am only at around 5-7K on this tyre. One thing I like this tyre is the side wall. It is hard. Hard in a good way. It gives my car more response and also I feel more "road" with the hardness. And the Re004 performed well in the wet. I will say is as good as S007A. *I don't drive very fast when raining. Noise wise, my car quite noisy alrd. So noisy tyre to me is nothing. So I cannot give a verdict on the noise of the tyres.. My verdict for this tyre is a Sure-buy. Until Malaysia border reopen and I can go track. Then RE-71RS will be more ideal. hahaha. I agree that RE003 thread wear very high. Mine is around 2 years, maybe 25k mileage, corner thread almost botak. In fact, it almost botak after the first 6 months. The tyre guy asked me if i want to change tyre when i went for rotation. lol I had re71r and ad08r on my track rims before. Good times. Nothing beats semi slicks.

Blueray Hypersonic March 22, 2021 Share March 22, 2021 user of RE001, RE002 and RE003. DNA is hard sidewall and noisy and responsive. sweet. I reckon RE004 will be similar.

However the wet grip solid vs the current Re004 but better than re003 which its an older design tire from 2015 All along Bridgestone is a Good Products, i think the Quality is boils down to the Company philosophy not the Country of Production. my POV Quality is not Equals to Performance of the tires. i do heard about Thailand and Malaysia are Rubber producer (part of the Raw material of making Tire) so their Tires (made in )is Better than those from Japan and Europe. My POV tire companies buy Rubber from all over the world including above two,

So help to bring the cost down. I totally agree with you.
