My 1.5 years old car only 12.9k Km, already gone for 1 oil change and 1 servicing and tomorrow going for another oil change. Manual say 1st servicing 15k Km. AD called me to go for my 1st servicing last year and say may void warranty if I wait till 15k, it should be 1 year or 15k. So lan lan, brought it in for servicing. Anyway, I already purchased servicing package with AD for the next 4 years. Very worth it actually, $1.5k for 4 years of maintenance. Anything, just call them. Time up, just go.

So far my 1.0T car on 18 inch rims and tyres give me around 12 - 13 Km/l FC. Not bad imho since it’s mostly city driving.

Yes 15,000km or 1 year which ever reach 1st, that why wife car was done at 9,000km

You are not wrong, I understand too that during coasting in gear for both manual and auto GB, the fuel supply is cut off until a certain rpm, then fuel comes back on to prevent engine from stalling.

If it supports, can try to put a OBD 2 scanner dongle, run Torque Pro on a spare phone and see the instantaneous fuel consumption reading when coasting and free wheeling.

IMHO you should try this. I shift the gear from D to N. I open the door and then shut it and push the car from the back.

My FC improved from 14km/l to 41km/l.

That's why when government raised petrol tax I didnt feel any pain whatsoever in my pocket, cause my thighs were hurting so much more. 🤩

I like your idea. Shall be magnanimous and offer people free ride home later. 🤭

Can reenact the scene below.

Got one Japanese F1 driver ever said, never step on brake on track to go faster. The lesser you step on the brakes, the faster your timing and smoother your driving. As much as possible, use engine brake.

I also try to step on brake as little as possible in my driving. But not for speed lah. To accumulate as little brake dust on my rims as possible!!! My car’s stock brake pads gives off plenty of brake dust.

Same here I ways try not to use brakes as much as possible, but in a safe manner lah. That is why my kids love to take my car when going ECP as I normally do not brake when going down slope at Rochor exit when the coast infront is clear.  Same as going from floor to floor in a MSCP. Make driving more fun.

Is that why Japanese F1 drivers have never won a championship title before? :D

Problem sum Q1

On a 1km road, car A accelerates to 80km/h by the 50m mark and coast to the end of 1km. Car B accelerates to 80km/h by the 300m mark and coast to the end of the 1km. Both cars are of the same make. Which car consune more fuel?

Answer: None. Both cars won't reach 1km mark. 😂

He must be a very very unsuccessful racing driver.

Must be a very very fast car, 0 to 80km/h in 50m. Even motorcycle also cannot achieve.

Not really. Its a stunt to boost his confidence as a rookie.

He used DRS all around the circuit and not only at designated stretches (its not wrong to do that in testing though), resulting in a speed trap that was 13kmh faster than Verstappen.

There was also suggestion that his Honda's engine was turned all the way up and his fuel level was low to aid the fast time.

The truth will be revealed on 28th March.
