justmela Neutral Newbie March 3, 2021 Author Share March 3, 2021 thanks SZ and the next important question is should this car be depreciating about 15K a year for a mid size sedan since it is essentially presumably built on a A4 platform. Do you have an issue with full size adult 1.78M sitting at the rear seat? verdict?

Weez911 Supersonic March 3, 2021 Share March 3, 2021 (edited) I owned a F10 and am very reliant on the autohold function. I can't remember exactly how the version in the Audi works exactly but it's a little different from the F10's. IIRC need to double step on the brake (or is that the Merc?). And the quirky gear stick on the steering wheel in the Merc takes some time to get used. These are little stuff but they do affect my buying decision. Audi cars you need to press a button to activate auto hold for each journey. Then it will hold whenever at standstill. Merc system is more intuitive and flexible - press the brake pedal harder to activate at each stop, or you can choose not to activate and let the car roll forward slowly. Merc gear lever is actually very easy to use, no need to move the hand away from the steering wheel. Only the left hand feels weird with nothing to rest on except on the wheel. Or your passenger's thigh.

justmela Neutral Newbie March 9, 2021 Author Share March 9, 2021 Hi The price last month was 10K lesser. But if you are looking for a nice 4 seaters with german design + engine, AUDI is perhaps best priced amongst the other Merc and BM brothers (for a 2litre powerplant range)

Come to standstill either press brake pedal harder or if foot is on brake pedal while stationary for 5-10 secs, it will auto go into autohold mode

I remember when starting got to activate it every time. And got to deactivate if you want to creep. If not it will auto hold even if you don't want to. Merc is always on, just step harder. Or off, just don't step so hard. Which is better. Edited March 9, 2021 by Volvobrick

justmela Neutral Newbie March 10, 2021 Author Share March 10, 2021 Yup bro, add that 4500 and you get a decent engine horse for less than 180K total. the pros nice MMI info entertainment nice sales ladies support & excellent services beautiful matrix LED lights Cons certain lack of horses at low RPM (MTM can cure) lack of new safety features road dynamics not the same as a Beemer
Fat_slayer 4th Gear March 10, 2021 Share March 10, 2021 The A5SB is a looker inside and outside . I was about to sign for this car last Sept. However, I decided against it due to lack of some safety features such as the blind spot monitoring and collision prevention. I tot these are features which are already found in certain Japanese and Korean cars...

Do you have an issue with full size adult 1.78M sitting at the rear seat? verdict? Had A5 coupe back in 2010 and loved it. Fast forward to 2020 and was in the market for either sedan or SUV. Was very attracted to the RS5 SB but the showstopper was when I tried out the rear center seat - the rear side seats are nice and comfortable bucket seats but with that, the center seat is raised relatively higher and with the sloping roof line of the sportback, it is definitely not going to be comfortable. Not sure if the seats are similar in a A5SB but you might want to check it out yourself esp for someone who is 1.78m in height! Rear seating being able to accommodate 3 pax in minimal comfort is one of my criteria. ↡ Advertisement
