For majority of drivers it should be okay. It's those driving private hire, taxi, lorries and etc.. these are the one that might need everyday charge.. and there will have a point in time where charging lots all taken up. So let's see..

Anyway hope government to also include charging lot at heavy parking lots too. Imagine if these heavy parking lots no charging lot. How these truck be able to charge ? They can't possible park at HDB carpark to charge right?

For Taxi, it will be charged in depot just like buy petrol in depot now.

For PHV, just charge the car during your downtime.

passenger cars can.

Commercial vehicle i dunno how really. The more loaded they are, the faster the battery depletion.

Currently, I haven't see any E-commercial Vehicle.

Yup. I misread the article. Thought vans or lorries also included. I agree that minimum standard should be hybrid.

Just for discussion and enlightenment. Shouldn't the substations and grid infra be upgraded first? Isn't it wasteful to "focus on building slow chargers" only to replace them in the near future with fast chargers?

Is fast charger hardware backward-compatible with slow charging? Like how USB 3.0 is backward-compatible with USB 2.0.

Diesel hybrid should be a better choice as compared to Petrol hybrid.

CPI confirm will go up after that.

Slow chargers are AC, up to 22kW, and uses your in-car converter to charge up the battery. Fast chargers are DC, can be up to 350kW or more, and has a built in converter. The Amp requirement for both types of chargers are different, according to what i know.

Singaporeans being the kiasu type, most will chope the slow charger lots even when their batteries are still 90% full just in case the next day all the charger lots are taken up by others like themselves! [laugh]

Yups, I can see many new ugly incidents involving inconsiderate EV owners hogging or abusing changing lots appearing on Stomp..

They better spread out the lots with charger over the all the floors in the MSCP, and away from the entrance for cars/human.  If stupid stupid locate all the charging lots near the entrance and on the first floor, then that will worsen the situation.

IMHO.
Think of it this way,  this project is something nobody wants to do.
From now till 2030, there will be likely 2 more elections.
Who will be still around can be anyone's guess.

Those taxi is drive 24 hour one

where got time to allow the taxi to rest to charge battery? Unless 15mins 30mins full charge lah

Taxi may be special arrangement. The charging station could be battery replacement. Robot arm take out discharged battery, put in new fully charged battery like in f1 pitstop. Discharged battery can then take own sweet time to charge. Fifo.
