i think you (not necessarily you as in you but someone) can count the numbers if you looked at the various news reports - i remember reading news reports that said a certain number of the infected on such and such a day had been vaccinated ..

total vaccination numbers are available (or an approximation) .. i just saw that 3.4 million doses of vaccines have been administered, on the simple assumption that these had gone as per 2 doses per person, then 1.7 million have been vaccinated .. the real figure of people having had at least one dose is likely higher as not all have had 2 doses ..

if 1% of those who receive doses are infected then we should be looking at minimum 17,000 people ..

in other words, if 1% of the people vaccinated still got infected then we are looking at potentially over 17,000 cases ..

infection of vaccinated persons are only those within this latest wave - how many total infections (worse case scenerio that all the latest infections are of people that have had vaccinations) = how many percent (worst case which is not the case because of those infected in the latest wave certainly not all were vaccinated) ..

efficacy rate looks pretty decent?

bro. you need to go read how the pharma conducted the efficacy test and when they did it, and where they did it.

statistically speaking, the study claims the infection risk is 5%. but must be based on the environment it is conducted in. you cannot use this number and reverse calculate because sg is totally different environment.

to add, the vaccination is applied to senior age group, frontliners and FW. statistically biased groups

no worries, we seem to be on different wavelengths ..

i am not looking at how people conduct studies which some claim is not accurate ..

i am only looking at "real life" here - how many vaccinated total vs how many vaccinated and got infected - to sort of show how useful (or efficacy) it is of vaccination of that vaccine ..

thats all .. nothing more 😊

well you are not going to get that.

1. no control group.

2. different vaccines used

3. no full randomisation

4. time delimited test not defined

etc.

bro, science is like that. engineering is like that.

you can get anecdotal facts and tabulate it. im sure MOH is doing it too. but without all the parameters to reference against, it is meaningless.

that is why no self respecting academic will publish these numbers as there is no reference

even people with an agenda for political points wont use these numbers

no worries, my mind is probably too simplistic ..

But sinovac have to go thru private medical. i believe those who wants it has to pay for it.

"As and when the WHO approves the Sinovac vaccine under its emergency-use list, the licensed healthcare institution can apply to MOH to draw on our existing stock of 200,000 doses to administer to those who wish to have it," said Mr Ong.

For now yes. Once it get the approval from HSA, it will be administered in the same way as Pfizer and Moderna.
