Made in Jurong?

not the above specs meant for UK.  so far for SG, only the current specs released for interested buyers.  But final specs are still to be confirmed.

The colour selection really boring.....

The colours for BYD Atto 3 are more energetic, with names like parkour red and surfing blue and the car is in line with a younger target audience.  Seems they will announce the launch sometime in July - will be interesting to see how the pricing will look like, given that it is a smaller car than Ioniq 5 and goes head to head with MG ZS.

these specs likely match 1st 50 units but its a newly given out brouchure.  The final specs for SG version may change - may include the better 77kWh or maybe the lower 58kWh battery.  it's anyone's guess at this point.

the Msia specs for reference. Battery wise, Lite and Plus - 58kWh and Max is 72.6kWh  the owners have started to collect their cars

@Gz0707 what is the feature that stated as not available on the bottom of the photo? Also waiting for KIA EV6 to come SG then can go test both cars.

@PharAstro our smart govt tax EV road tax more than anything which don’t make sense at all. Still say push for EV and ban ICE by 2030.

Must compare like to like.

A lot of EV has at least 200hp.

Ioniq5 RWD 168hp: 1.6k (including $400 additional components)

GLB200: 1.1k.

The main differences will be $400 which is offset by higher fuel consumption.

From the COE to the road tax, an old school formula and method that don’t work for EV cars that why is so expensive. Well it’s Singapore what can we do right.

With the price of the Ioniq 5, we can already choose from a number of conti cars + add on optional pack at boleh land, sad for life $1:3.15. Haha

Hope locally assembled can get some form of tax rebate, like Malaysia CKD vs CBU

The reason why EV is so ex is because of dealers margin.

Polestar2 RWD more ex than Tesla Model 3 RWD despite having a lower OMV.

For the price of Ioniq5 here, you can almost buy Taycan in Bolehland.

@inlinesix well being the most expensive city to live in, it does live up for its name! Anything come here get more expensive with lesser specification. Hope for the best for local version. 🤣
